In this paper, a new dual band dual polarized probe fed Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) exciting by substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) is presented. The design is based on the degenerated modes TE 102 and TE 201 , which are co-exist in the SIW square cavity and adjustedby a corner cut. In the proposed antenna only one input port is used for two bands and to avoid parasitic radiation, the DR is located on the ground plane and fed by two probes which are placed in regions of maximum electric field. Simulation and results exhibit excellent performance with a cross-polar level of 17 dB lower than to that of the co-polar level and gain of 3.7 dBi at 5.91 GHz and a cross-polar level of 11 dB lower than that of the copolar level and gain of 4.7 dBi at 6.37 GHz.
