A disseminação das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação e a crescente informatização nos serviços públicos têm levado o setor de saúde a experimentar mudanças significativas nos processos de registro e transmissão de dados e informações. O objetivo deste estudo é analisar os fatores condicionantes da aceitação e uso de tecnologias móveis (tablets) pelos Agentes Comunitários de Saúde do município de Sapeaçu, Bahia, Brasil. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório e descritivo, de abordagem quantitativa que adota a aplicação de questionários como estratégia metodológica, com base em constructos da Teoria Unificada de Aceitação e Uso da Tecnologia. Os principais resultados revelaram que, mesmo com pouca experiência pregressa com o uso de tecnologias similares, 77% dos Agentes Comunitários de Saúde consideraram o uso do tablet mais fácil do que imaginavam; 65% usavam o equipamento todos os dias, muito embora não fizessem a totalidade dos registros por meio dele e 91% estavam satisfeitos com o uso. Concluiu-se que os fatores condicionantes da aceitação e do uso de tablets pelos Agentes Comunitários de Saúde do município de Sapeaçu, Bahia, Brasil, são favoráveis, sendo a superação da expectativa do desempenho o constructo que mais influencia a intenção de uso, indicando que a experiência estudada é exitosa.
