Este trabalho teve como objetivo verificar o panorama e as tendências das publicações nacionais sobre Beyond Budgeting nos periódicos indexados no sistema WebQualis Capes, classificadas nos conceitos A2 a B5, entre os anos de 2005 e 2017, na área de Administração Pública e de Empresas, Ciências Contábeis e Turismo. Para atender a este objetivo, fez-se necessário um levantamento descritivo das publicações, do tipo de material mais utilizado nas referências, dos autores mais referenciados, entre outros pontos. Quanto à verificação do panorama e das tendências, fizeram-se necessárias a leitura e a demonstração dos objetivos e principais resultados encontrados de cada artigo, as sugestões de estudos futuros, como também as metodologias empregadas. Os principais resultados apontaram que as pesquisas ainda são embrionárias no Brasil, apesar de o trabalho seminal do método Beyond Budgeting ter sido de 2002. Em relação ao estudo anterior, houve uma evolução de volume de publicação, mas tímida. Outro ponto importante foi o uso de pesquisas envolvendo, na maioria das circunstâncias, análise descritiva. As tendências de pesquisas na área ainda apontam para questões de aplicabilidade e adoção pelas organizações.
