Introdução: Envelhecer é um processo de mudanças irreversíveis na estrutura e no funcionamento de um organismo, que ocorre como resultado da passagem do tempo. Segundo a OMS, programas voltados à saúde dos idosos devem promover, estimular e potencializar situações que os levem a organizar sua rotina de acordo com o próprio planejamento e metas pessoais. No Brasil, a população de idosos aumenta significativamente; estima-se que representará 12,5% em 2020. Nesse contexto, justifica-se a criação de programas de saúde particularizados a esse grupo populacional. Objetivo: Elaborar programa de saúde para o idoso aplicável em Unidades Básicas de Saúde. Metodologia: O projeto foi aplicado no Centro de Saúde Escola Barra Funda "Dr. Alexandre Vranjac". Com revisão bibliográ-fica, conhecimento da população local e das demandas regionais quanto a novas atividades e mapeamento das atividades existentes no terrritório, formulou-se uma apostila direcionada aos profissionais da saú-de visando elucidar dúvidas e orientar o manejo do paciente idoso. Resultados: A Unidade é referência na organização dos projetos existentes em sua área de abrangência; muitos, atualmente, com potencial subutilizado. Foram encontrados diversos centros que oferecem atividades aos idosos, no entanto há necessidade de aprimorar a divulgação desses projetos através de meios que atinjam efetivamente essa população. Elaborou-se apostila composta de revisão bibliográ-fica, fluxograma de atendimento médico, roteiro para personalizar o atendimento do idoso, banco de dados com os principais projetos da região e calendário com as atividades existentes permitindo centralizar informações e torná-las acessíveis, para que atividades específicas a cada paciente possam ser indicadas de maneira objetiva.
The results indicated that there was no significant difference between cell proliferation in smokers and nonsmokers; however, it was shown that in the smokers' group, amount of cigarettes smoked during throughout lifetime can increase cell proliferation in normal cervical epithelium.
Introdução: Considerando a provável relação entre a utilização de enxertos de pele infectados por citomegalovírus (CMV) e o desenvolvimento de doença grave por parte de receptor imunocomprometido, procurou-se analisar a incidência de anticorpos anti-CMV das classes IgG e IgM em doadores de tecido cutâneo do Banco de Tecidos do Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo. Objetivo: Analisar a incidência de sorologia positiva para anticorpos anti-CMV das classes IgG e IgM em doadores de tecido cutâneo do Banco de Tecidos do HC FMUSP. Método: Realizamos um estudo retrospectivo com 112 resultados sorológicos obtidos no período de maio de 2001 a maio de 2006. Resultados: Nenhuma das amostras de sangue pesquisadas apresentou resultado positivo para pesquisa de anticorpos anti-CMV da classe IgM, enquanto a positividade para IgG foi de 91,07% nas amostras pesquisadas. Assim, no grupo positivo para IgG (Grupo 1 n=102) o IgM foi negativo em 59 casos e não foi pesquisado em 43. Já no grupo negativo para IgG, (Grupo 2 n=10) o IgM foi negativo em 5 casos e não foi pesquisado em 5. Conclusão: Diante da alta prevalência de anticorpos anti-CMV da classe IgG em nossa casuística e da morbidade da doença citomegálica quando ativa em indivíduos imunocomprometidos, este trabalho sugere que os bancos de tecidos em geral e especificamente bancos de pele estabeleçam protocolos de triagem de tecidos que contemplem pesquisa sorológica para CMV.
