Students Feedback Online (SuFO) is an online system that is used to evaluate the overall teaching and learning components in terms of lecturer's quality assurance and performance, content and infrastructure. In view of the importance of SuFO, a reliable instrument is deemed necessary for the evaluation of students' perception of a lecturer's quality assurance and performance, content and infastructure in higher education in Malaysia. The objective of this study is to investigate the perception of students towards SuFO survey. This study was conducted at one of the campus of a public university in the centre region of Sarawak, Malaysia using a survey to investigate the perception of students towards SuFO survey. A total of 158 full time diploma students completed a questionnaire about views on the perceptions of students towards SuFO survey. The questionnaire had high internal consistency whereby the alpha value reported to be 0.863 for 30 items. Analysis of the students' perception by gender (on independent samples t-test) showed that there is a significant difference in mean perception rating between male and female students (p<0.05). Analysis of the students' perception by semester (using ANOVA (analysis of variance)) showed that there is a significant difference in mean perception rating across different semesters (p<0.05). Analysis of the students' perception by ethnicity (using ANOVA) revealed no significant difference in mean perception rating across different ethnicity. In conclusion, this study has presented evidence that male students and female students rated different with respect to the perception toward SuFO survey. In fact male students rated significantly higher when compared to female students. On the other hand, students with lower parts tended to rate higher when compared to students with higher parts. It is hoped that this study offers new knowledge to the scope of research within this field and promotes further studies in countries abroad.
Mobile application is a software designed to run on smartphones, tablet computers, and other mobile devices. The growing millions of users who are using mobile applications have contributed to an increase in the development of the mobile applications for enterprises, education, the social network and healthcare. Widely used healthcare application nowadays includes general health and wellness, tele-medicine, personal coaching and consultation, medical record tracking, custom reminders and various health management apps. This paper presents a mobile application related to general health and wellness named as iNutritionApp for providing nutrient information, tracking nutrition and calorie intakes with the integration of FatSecret API. The API provides nutritional information based on type of food provided by user. The application was intended to overcome manual calorie intake calculations and assists diet plan. Development methodology of this mobile application utilizes three phases that are system requirements, system design and development, as well as testing. Technology acceptance model with three parts were conducted with 30 respondents by evaluating the developed mobile application through questionnaires. Results of the testing showed that perceived of usefulness (PU) part achieved highest mean score compared to perceived ease of use (PEOU) that include user interface design and navigation parts. Therefore, features and functionality offered by the iNutritionApp is proven to be useful for user in tracking calorie intakes and provide access to nutritional information.
Every neighbourhood must have access to clean water supply. Disturbances in the water supply may have negative effects on both the economy and public health. Currently there are various methods of filing a complaint to the local water supply distributor. Improper management of these complaints lead to slow responses to affected area, causing displeasure among the users. The aim of the research is to design and develop a web-based Water Supply Complaint Management System to assist users to file complaints related to water supply issues. The system was also designed to assist local authorities or water supply distributor company to properly manage complaints to act quickly. User acceptance testing is used to evaluate the proposed system after it has undergone numerous functional tests. The system was developed using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the waterfall model was chosen for the methodology. Thirty respondents from Sibu, Sarawak, were chosen to participate in the testing phase and were asked to complete questionnaires that were divided into four categories, including user interface satisfaction, ease of use, usability, and functionality. According to the results of the evaluation, most of the respondents gave positive feedbacks towards the overall functionality of the proposed system. Therefore, it is hoped that all features provided by the proposed system will benefit all users, particularly those who frequently have water supply related issues in their community.
Storeroom is the most important storage area and it must be kept secured as it will be used by college students to keep their goods during semester break. They need to clear up the room before leaving the campus. To impose the security measure of storeroom, college management unit require students that are using the storeroom to write details and particulars before checking in and out the storeroom. This paper presents a development of Storeroom Management Module (SMM) for integration with Attendance Record for College Activities (ARCA) system. The module offers easy process when college staffs and students are dealing with storeroom. Module development involved three main phases which are feasibility study, design and development and module testing. Four components that comprises 17 questionnaires were included in technology acceptance model for module testing. Out of four components tested, component perceived user satisfaction (PUS) had received the highest mean score. This indicated that the developed SMM satisfied users in dealing with storeroom management module.
