amingo@us.es I A no ser que un comportamiento sonámbulo o robótico se hubiese apoderado de nuestros quehaceres, allí donde me conduce mi caminar no podría separarse de la lucidez de sentido que lo guía, de la que depende el ritmo de los propios pasos, su lentitud o premura, su pesadez o alegría, o el que me dirija a tal o a cual sitio, y no a otro, hasta dar con mis huesos allí -como dice la expresión-, sin que por ello en ningún caso a ese caminar pudieran iluminarlo, aparte de que los sostengan y conformen, ni mis huesos, ni mis músculos, ni mis tendones…, pues ellos nada saben de a dónde conducen mis pasos, y quisiera ilustrar esta afirmación con una de las escenas más famosas y dramáticas de la historia de la filosofía, que tiene como protagonista al cuerpo y de la que arrancarán mis reflexiones; me refiero al ejemplo que adopta Platón en su Fedón para explicar su incondicional adhesión al Nous de Anaxágoras. El fragmento es el siguiente:Pero de mi estupenda esperanza, amigo mío, salí defraudado, cuando al avanzar y leer veo que el hombre [Anaxágoras] no recurre para nada a la inteligencia ni le atribuye ninguna causalidad en la ordenación de las cosas, sino que aduce como causas aires, éteres, aguas y otras muchas cosas absurdas. Me pareció que había sucedido algo muy parecido a como si uno afirmara que Sócrates hace todo lo que hace con inteligencia, y, luego, al intentar exponer las causas de lo que hago, dijera que ahora estoy aquí sentado por esto, porque mi cuerpo está formado por huesos y tendones, y que mis huesos son sólidos y tienen articulaciones que los separan unos de otros, y los tendones son capaces de contraerse y distenderse, y envuelven los huesos junto con las carnes y la piel que los rodea.
