El grupo de Gestión del Patrimonio Cultural de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid empezó en 2011 una línea enfocada a las relaciones sociales y el patrimonio cultural con el objetivo de mejorar el tratamiento de éste.Tipificamos dichas relaciones en tres principales que, a su vez, son complementarias: estudios de percepción social, participación ciudadana y análisis y resolución de conflictos. Comenzamos a experimentar metodologías en 2011 a través de distintos proyectos en los sentidos que incumben al ámbito académico al que pertenecemos: el investigador y el de formación de profesionales.Varios puntos que consideramos de interés según nuestra experiencia en estos temas:- Mejor hablar de procesos participativos que de participación.- La importancia de los estudios de percepción social para ella.- El conflicto cotidiano como el gran reto a resolver.- La participación no siempre es la solución.- Dudas con el rol del tejido asociativo en cuanto a su peso real en la percepción social general del patrimonio cultural.- Valoración de la participación má- La participación está en la base de la formación del concepto actual de patrimonio cultural.- No quememos la participación!
Del 29 de abril al 2 de mayo de 2015 se celebrará II Congreso Internacional de Buenas Prácticas en patrimonio mundial: Personas y Comunidades, en Menorca (Islas Baleares, España). Esta segunda edición pretende consolidar una fórmula renovada para la celebración de este tipo de encuentros internacionales en el campo del patrimonio cultural y que tiene sus antecedentes en toda una serie de actividades e investigaciones lideradas por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Pretendemos que los protagonistas no sean sólo los casos concretos, sino el debate y la reflexión colectiva.
La gestión del desarrollo integral de los centros históricos es una noción que comenzó a difundirse hace cincuenta años, sin embargo, su aplicación práctica comenzó décadas más tarde y aún no ha sido generalizada. El presente artículo propone un acercamiento al tema desde la teoría y la praxis, fundamentalmente regional, donde se exponen aquellos elementos indispensables, que deben estar presentes en el abordaje responsable y ético del desarrollo del lugar más estratégico de la ciudad, su centro histórico, y por extensión, la zona central tradicional. Se aborda concretamente la gestión del patrimonio cultural de Puebla de los Ángeles, y se particulariza en el tratamiento de los bienes arqueológicos de la ciudad.
Ten years seems little time to assess the future of such a relatively young topic as Public Archaeology (PA) is, in special in Spain and in the academic arena. I divide my answer in two classic parts: present and future. By understanding the present (based on the past) we can try to guess (more or less) the future… Even if we think in the context of a pandemic, predicting the future of anything becomes really uncertain and reckless. If I may write, there is a high level of uncertainty and luck in getting it right.
