The purposes of this study were to find out (1) the relation between self efficacy, family social support and self regulated learning (2) the relation between self efficacy and self regulated learning (3) the relation between family social support and self regulated learning. The populations of the study were students of 8th grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah. The technique sampling was cluster random sampling. The study used Self Efficacy Scale, Family Social Support Scale and Self Regulated Learning Scale to collect data about self efficacy, family social support and self regulated learning. The data were analized by regression analysis. The results show that (1) there is very significantly positive correlation between self efficacy, family social support and self efficacy (r=0,837, p=0,000), (2) there is very significantly positive correlation between self efficacy and self regulated learning (r=0, 836, p=0,000), (3) there is very significantly positive correlation between family social support and self regulated learning (r=0,418, p=0,002).
The purpose of group therapy conducted in this research was to determine the effect of relaxation technique to reduce anxiety in pregnant women within the working area of Pakualaman Community Health Center. The research subjects consisted of seven pregnant women who experienced anxiety disorder in the moderate category. The methods for data collection were observation, interview, and focus group discussion, as well as a pre-test using a pregnancy anxiety scale with the results of Cronbach a = 0.896 at 28 items and reliability of 0.896. Data analysis techniques were carried out qualitatively based on the results of the therapy process and quantitatively by conducting a post-test. The research results revealed a decrease in anxiety, both qualitatively and quantitatively. The qualitative results showed that the research subjects were able to feel more positive, calmer, and more comfortable during their pregnancy and being optimistic when they were about to face the delivery process, which affected the perceived behavior such as reduced dizziness and comfortable sleep. Meanwhile, the quantitative results showed a decrease in score and the level of anxiety experienced by the research subjects between before and after participating in the group therapy process with the value of z = -2.366 with a significance of p = 0.018 (p <0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that group therapy with relaxation technique could reduce anxiety in pregnant women within the working area of Pakualaman Community Health Center.
The study aims to determine the relationship between positive thinking with self-esteem in women with premenopausal period. Subjects were premenopausal women who ages between 40-50 years old. The study used quantitative methods. This study used scale to get the data, namely Scale Positive Thinking and Self-Esteem Scale. The result showed a significant coefficient correlation with r = 0.465. Positive thinking has about 21.6% explaining effect on the dependent variables and 78.4% influences by other factors. Majority participants in this study have medium level of esteem and positive thinking. Based on the result study, it can be concluded that there was a significant relationship between positive thinking with selfesteem in women who experienced a period of premenopausal. The higher positive thinking conducted by participant the higher their self-esteem, and vice versa.
A dysfunctional family is one of the factors that can trigger children to experience defiant behavior disorders. This disorder is characterized by defiant behavior, disobedience to orders, and provocative behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the success of behavior modification interventions in children with behavioral disorders of defiance with dysfunctional family conditions. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method using a single case pre test post test design. The participant of this research is one child who is 12 years old and has a behavior disorder of defiance. The assessment techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and psychological test tools to assist researchers in writing a description of psychological dynamics. Researchers used behavior modification interventions to overcome defiant behavior disorders in children, the intervention was given in 3 sessions with a duration of approximately 60 minutes. The results of this study indicate that behavior modification interventions are appropriate for children who experience defiant behavior disorder with dysfunctional family conditions
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
