L'objet de ce travail est d'étudier par approche numérique, l'impact du raidissement d'une barre sableuse externe au cours d'un épisode de tempête sur les statistiques du runup R2%. En effet, généralement considéré comme dépendant de paramètres environnementaux simplifiés (e.g pente de la plage etc.), le runup semble dépendre de paramètres plus complexes (e.g configuration de la barre pré-littorale). Dans les environnements présentant des profils de plage à barre, un raidissement et un déplacement vers le large des barres sableuses peuvent être observés lors des événements très énergétiques comme les tempêtes et l'impact de ce changement morphologique sur le runup n'a jusqu'à présent pas été documenté. Le modèle numérique SWASH à résolution de phase a été utilisé pour étudier cet impact. Pour cela on s'est appuyé sur des données de terrain acquises au cours d'une tempête ayant eu lieu les 9 et 12 Mars 2008 au large de la plage du Truc Vert (projet ECORS, Gironde, France). Au cours de cet évènement, la barre externe de la plage, présentant initialement des formes de croissants, s'est linéarisée et a reculé de 100 m. Plusieurs simulations ont été effectuées à partir de différentes conditions de houle observées lors de cet épisode (montante -apex -descendante) et de différentes configurations bathymétriques simulant le raidissement de la barre externe et son déplacement vers le large. Le rôle majeur du changement de la morphologie sur les valeurs statistiques du runup (e.g R2%) n'a pas pu être démontré pour les conditions de houle et de marée modélisées. A l'avenir, une modélisation de conditions de houle et de configurations bathymétriques différentes serait susceptible de confirmer ces résultats.
