Este trabalho buscou apresentar um estudo sobre a educação e criação de bebês entendendo estes como sujeitos de sua própria história. Desenvolvendo uma revisão bibliográfica de artigos que possibilitassem uma melhor compreensão dos estudos de Emmi Pikler sobre o ato de pedagogizar, é que a presente pesquisa teve objetivo principal apontar a importância de um desenvolvimento autônomo infantil e como específicos, analisar a possibilidade de um cuidar mais afetuoso e autônomo devotado a criação dos bebês, bem como trilhar um caminho de estudo que compreenda a intervenção repentina como um evento traumático no pleno desenvolvimento infantil. Utilizou-se de metodologia qualitativa descritiva cuja função foi elucidar a hipótese inicial desta pesquisa, qual seja, é possível sim, educar uma criança de forma autônoma, intervindo com afeto sem frustrar o pleno desenvolvimento infantil. Para não desenvolver um estudo pontual, o referencial bibliográfico expondo os principais fundamentos da abordagem Pikler, compreendendo, portanto, os cuidados, a relevância do movimento livre e da autonomia, bem como o quanto a liberdade de brincar possibilita um pleno desenvolvimento infantil na primeira infância. Aqui se assume também a notabilidade do adulto durante o desenvolvimento já que o mesmo deve se privar de intervir enquanto estabelece um ambiente propício para que o bebê desenvolva suas próprias experiências. Assim, tem-se enquanto conclusão a importância de especializações específicas baseadas nas abordagens de Emmi Pikler formando tanto pedagogos quanto os auxiliares educacionais a fim de proporcionar um ambiente sadio para o desenvolvimento infantil.
