The paper is devoted to the simulation of queueing networks on high performance computer clusters. The objective is to develop a mathematical model of queueing network and simulation approach to the modelling of the general network functionality, as well as to provide a software implementation on a high-performance computer cluster. The simulation is based on a discrete-event approach, object oriented programming, and MPI technology. The model of the queueing networks simulation system was developed as an application that allows a user to simulate networks of rather free configuration. The experiments on a high performance computer cluster emphasize the high efficiency of parallel computing.
A multi-server retrial queue with a hyper-exponential service time is considered in this paper. The study is performed by the method of asymptotic diffusion analysis under the condition of long delay in orbit. On the basis of the constructed diffusion process, we obtain approximations of stationary probability distributions of the number of customers in orbit and the number of busy servers. Using simulations and numerical analysis, we estimate the accuracy and applicability area of the obtained approximations.
In this paper, we consider a multi-server retrial queueing system of type M/M/N. We propose the asymptotic methods for analysis of the system under long delay and heavy load conditions. Application areas of each method are defined and numerical examples are given.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
