Modern tasks in the field of agriculture require meteorological information of high spatial and temporal resolution. In this study, air temperature was compared using the CRU_TS, ERA5-Land, and GFS datasets in the study area for the period from 2007 to 2019. The information obtained showed a high level of correlation (0.9) of the considered data sets for the study period. However, a more detailed analysis revealed that there may be months when the air temperature values of different data sets can vary significantly for several consecutive years, and the magnitude of these deviations relative to the compared data sets can vary depending on the time of year. In addition, features of the underlying surface, for example, the presence of extensive mountain ranges, can affect the final data and the results of their comparisons. It is shown that modern ERA5-Land and GFS data sets are not inferior to CRU_TS data, and their advantages in the form of high spatial and temporal resolution can provide better results for solving problems.
Siberian silk moth is one of the most dangerous pests of coniferous forests of Krasnoyarsk region, which are the most important natural resource of the region. Climate change is considered to be one of the essential criteria for the growth of the silk moth population. In 2014, there was another outbreak of the number of silk moth in the Yenisei district of Krasnoyarsk region. It is known that the forest area of the Yenisei river left bank is subject to severe damage by the silk moth, and the right bank is characterized by a weak forest damage. The task of this work is to analyze the situation with the heterogeneous lesion of the forest by the Siberian silkworm on both banks of the Yenisei river of the territory under consideration according to most detailed available meteorological data for the period from 2009 to 2018. The results of the study showed that the left bank of the river has an increased surface temperature compared to the right bank by an average of 1-1.5°C during the period under review. This effect may be the reason for the spatial distribution of the Siberian silk moth population.
The article is devoted to studying the characteristics of the atmosphere over the Yenisei riverbed with the help of a drone. We develop special mounted measuring equipment for the drone for experimental observations. Designed equipment was used to measure weather parameters and atmospheric pollution from autumn 2020 to summer 2021. More than 50 drone flights were performed during this time. The experiments obtained data from measurements of temperature, relative humidity, and PM25 concentration at different heights above the riverbed. At the same time, no quasi-stationary gradients of meteorological quantities predicted in several publications were found.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
