Cobalt (II) perchlorate hexahydrate reacts with pyrazole based tripodal scorpionate ligand 1-methoxy-2,2,2tris(pyrazol-1-yl) ethane (1) in methanol, acetonitrile and water mixture as solvent to produce a new compound bis[1-methoxy-2,2,2-tris-(pyrazol-1-yl-κN 2 ) ethane]-cobalt (II) bis-perchlorate (2). Pale yellow color block crystals suitable for single crystal X-ray diffraction study of the title complex were obtained by slow evaporation of the filtered reaction mixture in air. Title complex crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with unit cell parameters, a = 8.5762(1)Å, b =8.9617(1)Å, c = 11.6820(2) Å, α= 109.7814(7)º, β=93.1681(7)º and γ= 98.1972(7)º.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
