O Ensino Médio Mediado por Tecnologia (EMMT) é uma política implantada no ano de 2016 no estado de Rondônia. Neste modelo, os alunos se dirigem a uma escola, em qualquer local do estado, onde recebem aulas ao vivo, via satélite, ministradas por um professor que está em estúdio, e recebem o apoio de um professor presencial. Com a conclusão das primeiras turmas de EMMT, coube investigar as contribuições dessa política para os egressos de uma comunidade ribeirinha de difícil acesso na Amazônia, examinando as possibilidades de escolhas provocadas pela Educação Mediada por Tecnologia na percepção do egresso do Ensino Médio. A abordagem da pesquisa é qualitativa, baseada em entrevistas com questionário semiestruturados, os quais foram analisados por meio da análise do discurso de Bardin e da teoria da complexidade de Morin. Participaram oito egressos do ensino médio da escola General Osório, no distrito de Calama, que dista duzentos quilômetros da sede do município de Porto Velho, RO, e só é acessível por barco. Os resultados da pesquisa evidenciam que essa política pública, em lugares de difícil acesso, por meio das Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TICs) na Educação oportunizou o ensino a comunidades remotas e contribui para que existam apropriações que possibilitam, na perspectiva de Kleine e Sen, escolhas aos egressos ao término do ensino médio que favorecem o seu desenvolvimento.
