O presente artigo objetivou caracterizar e identificar as espécies de Philodendron Schott (Araceae) ocorrentes no distrito do Carvão, Mazagão, Amapá. São apresentadas descrições das espécies coletadas, seu tratamento taxonômico, ilustrações, comentários, bem como foi elaborada uma chave para identificar as espécies ocorrentes na área e os dados sobre a distribuição geográfica. Foram registradas cinco espécies na região, sendo elas: Philodendron brevispathum Schott, P. linnaei Kunth, P. pedatum (Hook.) Kunth, P. pulchellum Engl. e P. acutatum Schott. Os táxons coletados apresentam grande variedade morfológica e marcante heteroblastia.
Este trabalho trata das espécies de Peperomia Ruiz & Pav. (Piperaceae) ocorrentes na microbacia do rio Água Fria, Pedra Branca do Amapari, estado do Amapá. O estudo envolveu a análise morfológica dos táxons coletados na região e tombados no Herbário Amapaense, além de observações de campo, bem como consulta aos portais virtuais dos herbários nacionais. São apresentadas descrições, distribuição geográfica e uma chave para facilitar a identificação das espécies. Foram registrados cinco táxons: Peperomia glabella (Sw.) A. Dietr. var. glabella; P. pellucida (L.) Kunth; P. pilicaulis C. DC.; P. rotundifolia (L.) Kunth e P. serpens (Sw.) Loudon. P. rotundifolia é citada pela primeira vez para o estado do Amapá.
