Este texto descreve parte de uma pesquisa que investigou, em escolas públicas de ensino fundamental e ensino médio de várias regiões do Brasil,experiências consideradas pelos participantes como bem-sucedidas. No presente trabalho, apresentamos e analisamos as representações que emergiram de 1033 questionários, considerando duas questões iniciais que indagavam se a escola deve, ou não, realizar Educação Moral ou em Valores,por que fazê-lo e como. Os dados foram analisados através do software ALCESTE. Usamos análise categorial temática com categorias definidas a posteriori. Destacamos, nos resultados: os motivos principais para o desenvolvimento de programas de Educação Moral estão relacionados à crise de valores na sociedade e na família. Os métodos para alcançar a Educação Moral são diversos, e são citadas experiências no cotidiano escolar, disciplinas específicas e temas transversais.Palavras-chaveValores Morais; Educação em Valores; Representações de valores; Representações sociais
Embasada na teoria de Jean Piaget, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo investigar os desenhos animados mais assistidos pelas crianças e analisar seus conteúdos sociomorais. Foi realizada a aplicação de um questionário em 162 crianças do Ensino Fundamental, de uma escola pública do interior paulista. Dentre os desenhos mais assistidos, compareceram o Pica-Pau e o Bob Esponja. Foram gravados quarenta minutos de seus episódios, e realizados a observação, o registro e a mensuração dos comportamentos veiculados para a identificação da tendência moral mais presente, conforme aspectos relacionados à anomia, à heteronomia ou à autonomia. Os resultados demonstraram a predominância da moral da heteronomia. Com base nesses dados, discutiu-se o efeito da transmissão dos conteúdos identificados no desenvolvimento moral da criança.
