A produção e difusão do conhecimento científico na Educação em Astronomia tem recebido grande atenção dos pesquisadores nacionais e internacionais. Nessa perspectiva, este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar as características e tendências de teses e de dissertações na área de Educação em Astronomia com ênfase em formação de professores. O procedimento metodológico é embasado nos estudos do "estado da arte" , mapeando a evolução da produção acadêmica. Foram analisadas teses e dissertações disponíveis no Banco de Dados de Teses e Dissertações do DME/UFSCAR, totalizando 23 teses e 160 dissertações em um recorte temporal de 1973 a 2017. Em busca de identificar essa produção e conhecer as principais tendências da pesquisa nesse campo, foi realizada a análise de 15 trabalhos entre teses e dissertações voltadas ao foco temático de formação de professores. Por meio de uma análise qualitativa, foi possível identificar que elas abordam tanto a formação inicial quanto a formação continuada relatando cursos, evolução conceitual e sinalizando para a inserção de disciplinas da área em cursos de magistério e licenciatura. Por meio deste trabalho, é possível concluir que as tendências da formação de professores para Ensino de Astronomia são ainda limitadas principalmente no que se refere a cursos de formação continuada com diferentes enfoques, deixando ainda muitas perguntas em aberto e um campo fértil para um crescimento significativo.
Resumo: Entende-se a necessidade de dar voz aos professores para conhecer melhor o contexto em que estão inseridos. Desse modo, estabelece-se como problema a seguinte inquietude: na percepção dos professores da Educação Básica, como ocorre o Ensino da Astronomia nos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental? Este artigo tem como objetivo discutir o Ensino da Astronomia nos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental, na percepção dos professores. Para responder esse questionamento, o estudo teve como sujeitos de pesquisa docentes da disciplina de Ciências dos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental. A metodologia utilizada para constituição e análise de dados regem os princípios da pesquisa fenomenológica. Os resultados apontam para um ensino simplista com diferentes falhas nas distintas esferas educacionais, formando um grande aglomerado de problemas. Assim sendo, o Ensino de Astronomia nos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental ainda tem muitos obstáculos a serem superados a fim de oportunizar um ensino de qualidade para os educandos.
Esse trabalho tem como objetivo investigar como a formação de professores de Ciências dos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental, referente à como o ensino da Astronomia tem sido abordada nas produções acadêmicas no período de 2010 a 2020. A pesquisa possui uma abordagem qualitativa do tipo descritiva, os dados foram constituídos por meio de uma busca na Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD) a partir das palavras-chave “ensino da astronomia”; “formação de professores de Ciências” e “ensino fundamental”. Foram analisadas, ao final, 10 dissertações que atenderam aos critérios de inclusão e exclusão definidos à priori. A análise dos dados foi realizada a partir dos pressupostos teóricos da Análise de Conteúdo Categorial de Bardin. A partir da pesquisa realizada, foi possível evidenciar que a abordagem proposta ainda tem sido pouco interpelada nas produções acadêmicas. Nesse sentido, entendemos que devemos (re)pensar a Formação dos Professores de Ciências, tanto inicial quanto continuada, de forma a contribuir para a superação dos obstáculos ao ensino da Astronomia, bem como servindo de aporte para que, teórica, metodológica ou reflexivamente, o professor tenha subsídios para conduzir adequadamente o processo ensino e aprendizagem.
Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a presença da Astronomia nos livros didáticos de Ciências aprovados no PNLD 2020 em comparação com os aprovados no PNLD 2017. A pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa, seguindo os pressupostos metodológicos da pesquisa qualitativa descritiva, tendo como objeto de pesquisa os livros didáticos de Ciências aprovados pelo PNLD 2017 e pelo PNLD 2020. Como resultado, observa-se que, de modo geral, existe uma maior frequência da Astronomia nas coleções atuais em comparação com a anterior. Apesar de ser observado um progresso nas coleções que se mantiveram nas duas avaliações é preciso que área tenha um olhar crítico em como esses conteúdos estão sendo abordados nos materiais. Por fim, salienta-se que a ampliação da Astronomia nos livros didáticos não garante a ampliação dessa discussão em sala de aula, apenas pode otimizar o tempo de busca dos professores e alunos pela temática e fomentar a sua importância no currículo escolar.
