The article presents the analysis of social problems caused by the processes of archaization of contemporary Russian society. The relevance of the introduction of the concept of archaization into academic circulation as the socio-philosophical concept is that its terminological usage in the topical area of social philosophy may bring about solving a number of conceptual problems. Archaization is regarded in a space of sociocultural transformation which has been actively developing in Russian society in recent years. The authors suggest using a methodological construct for the assessment of the concept of archaization in the semantic center of which the process of the sociocultural interaction of Russian social actors is analyzed. Methodological construct is a tool of socio-philosophical analysis. Its purpose consists in identifying the essence, levels, and modes of manifestation and development of archaization in contemporary Russian society. The authors substantiate that archaization acts as a process of the sociocultural interaction the authors' methodological construct makes it possible to identify the levels of production (representation) of archaization.
The article explores the foundations of conservative trends in Russian politics. The manifestation of conservative tendencies is seen in the very nature of the neo-patrimonial political regime prevailing in post-Soviet Russia, and in the legitimizing ideology on which it is based. The formation of the neopatrimonial regime and its ideological foundations are considered as a manifestation of the archaization of Russian society, which also manifests itself in the strengthening of the role of religion in Russian society; while religiosity itself has a certain specificity, which makes it possible to talk about the presence of archaizing tendencies within the framework of religious consciousness.
The article analyzes the scientific potential of the study of such an important phenomenon for the modern world as archaization, on the basis of which the author's methodological and conceptual space for the socio-philosophical study of the archaization of Russian society is formed. The concept of the plurality of modernity, and therefore the alternatives to national modernization, is recognized as a conceptual position. In the framework of the proposed concept, archaization, traditionalization and modernization are considered as modes of tradition - a substance of the sociocultural system that ensures reproduction and preservation of the society’s culture. Under the influence of socio-cultural transformation, the tradition can take the form of these processes, depending on the degree of destruction of traditional foundations and bases of society's life and the adequacy of the implemented innovations, their organic socio-cultural roots. Archaization as a modus of tradition, in turn, under the influence of sociocultural transformation, can develop in the format (modus) of rearchaization and neoarchaization as a result of interaction with the processes of traditionalization and modernization. At the intersection of the development trajectories of modernization and traditionalization processes, a modus of development called neotraditionalization is formed. The modes of archaization (neoarchaization and rearchization) affect the development of social processes in different ways, and therefore archaization is not considered as a uniquely regressive process.

Автор рассматривает социальную мифологию в тесной связи с процессами архаизации массового сознания современных россиян, особо подчеркивая значимую роль социальных мифов в контексте неоархаизации. Акцентируя отличия неоархаизации от других модусов архаизационного процесса, автор концентрирует внимание на роли симулякров как лишенных сущностного содержания знаков, заменяющих собой реальные символы традиционной культуры. Автор утверждает, что архаизация актуализирует социальные мифы, способствует их популяризации и трансляции в массовом сознании, а социальные мифы, в свою очередь, становятся одним из коммуникативных инструментов архаизации.Research results. The author examines social mythology in close connection with the processes of archaization of the mass consciousness of modern Russians, emphasizing the significant role of social myths in the context of neo-archaization. Emphasizing the differences between neoarchaization and other modes of the organizational process, the author focuses on the role of simulacra as signs devoid of essential content, replacing real symbols of traditional culture. The author argues that archaization actualizes social myths, promotes their popularization and translation in the mass consciousness, and social myths, in turn, become one of the communicative tools of archaization.
