The emergence of internet and digital channels has strongly affected the business processes and marketing, providing new types of relations with customers in online environment. One of the most significant impacts is made in the segment of trade with the development of e-commerce models. The paper analyses the implications of e-commerce on the environment and indicates the significant sustainability aspects in online trade. The starting point of this research is the global concern regarding the effects of online business processes on CO2 emissions, plastic packaging waste and other ecological implications. The paper uses literature review and actual statistical analysis to provide scientific insight into the sustainability of e-commerce and its business segments such as distribution and transportation. Furthermore, the study concentrates on green solutions for delivery services and contributes to better understanding of ecological footprint in online trading. When analysing the effects of different products traded online particular focus is related to apparel industry which is recognised as one of the industries with the strongest impact on the environment.
The importance of social management oriented to the reduction of social differences and the improvement of the working environment of employees increases in the conditions of growing market competition. Respecting the basic principles of social management, companies can develop special strategies that will influence the increase of competitive advantages and the overall welfare of society. In this regard, the goal of this research is to point out the importance of socially responsible business, which should be organized in such a way as not to harm the environment and society, as well as the rights of employees, and to ensure positive business results.
Apstrakt:Ovaj rad je inspirisan potrebom za definisanje finansijskog leveridža i efikasnijim praćenjem performansi finansijskog sektora i to kako u svrhe regulacije tako i za potrebe internog upravljanja. Elaborirane su neke od postojećih mogućnosti za integrisanje leveridža kao tradicionalnog koncepta i VaR (eng. value at risk, rizična vrednost) kao sve prihvaćenijeg, savremenog koncepta, čime se otklanjaju nedostaci prve mere i dolazi do daleko bogatije i realnije slike o performansama i riziku ekonomskih jedinica, do nivoa profitnih centara. Celovita analiza poslovanja pre svega podrazumeva utvrđivanje boniteta posmatranih trgovinskih preduzeća. Bonitet predstavlja svodni izraz za finansijski položaj, profitabilnost i uopšte uspešnost poslovanja. On se izražava pomoću određenih operativnih pokazatelja (racio brojeva). The retail industry is a dominant subject that drives the global economy by connecting the suppliers and consumers and generating the significant amounts of annual sales. However, the growing importance of sustainable development has underlined the environmental aspects of the retail business, with special implications on consumption patterns, greenhouse gas emissions, biodiversity, and climate change. The subject of this paper is to explore the role of sustainable entrepreneurship in retail industry and its contribution to managing logistics and supply chains. In many relevant studies, sustainable entrepreneurship is related to specific entrepreneurial competencies that are recognised as crucial factor that affect business success as well as the realization of sustainable initiatives. The starting points in this research are the recent studies and reports from international institutions that provide scientific basis to understand the theoretical approaches to the concept of sustainable entrepreneurship and its practical application in retail business.
