Tanto en la música como en la danza los aspectos expresivos suelen ser reconocidos como inefables y su comprensión como dependiente de la experiencia kinestésica del performer. Este trabajo indaga en los procesos psicológicos a través de los cuales la experiencia de la performance musical puede ser transferida al aprendizaje de los aspectos expresivos del movimiento en la danza a través de la práctica metacognitiva aplicada a la performance musical y kinetica en paralelo. Para ello, la investigación se aborda desde una metodología autoetnográfica colaborativa por la cual se indaga en la experiencia personal de uno de los autores y se construye una narrativa que permite visibilizar y analizar ciertos aspectos cruciales a nivel de la construcción de conocimiento en ella.
El presente artículo presenta una síntesis e interpretación de un cuerpo considerable de datos empíricos recolectados a lo largo de una serie de experimentos que procuraron estudiar diversos aspectos de la interacción conductual que tiene lugar entre bailarines y músicos de danza en el curso de la performance de un ejercicio en el contexto de una clase de técnica de danza. Los datos revelan que la complejidad de la interacción, dada por la multiplicidad de modalidades perceptuales implicadas, las diversidad de las experiencias perceptuales de los actores involucrados y la disparidad de mecanismos cognitivos comprometidos, trasciende la problemática de acoplarse a una pauta de regularidad fuertemente establecida (como un mecanismo de entrainment simple) e involucra detalles más sutiles de intercambio intersubjetivo. Se identifica primordialmente un período de negociación a través del cual, músicos de danza y bailarines co-construyen el marco métrico sobre el cual el ejercicio de danza tiene lugar. Las aportaciones que cada uno realiza difieren en la naturaleza perceptual y cognitiva.
Claudio Villagra es un bailarín de tango de reconocida trayectoria nacional e internacional que aprendió con antiguos milongueros ya fallecidos, que ha conseguido dominar tanto el estilo tradicional de la milonga como la performance de escenario. La entrevista encauza a Villagra a describir los rasgos estilísticos del Tango Tradicional (TT) desde la perspectiva sentida de la experiencia kinestésica y musical de su cuerpo. El autor desafía al entrevistado a traducir sus sensaciones en términos de nociones y categorías que iluminan algunos aspectos procedimentales del TT que los antiguos milongueros no han sabido verbalizar. Paralelamente, Villagra realiza una retrospectiva de las transformaciones que ha venido sufriendo el TT en los últimos 25 años. La presente entrevista es parte de un estudio mayor que tiene como objetivo mantener vivo el legado corporal de los antiguos milongueros de los barrios de Villa Urquiza y Saavedra (Buenos Aires).
Durante o século XX, os bailarinos de tango afirmaram que as suas figuras coreográficas eram uma extensão do ‘caminhar espontâneo da rua’, acrescentando que era necessário 'caminhar com cadência’ e saber manter o compasso’ da música'. Neste artigo tentaremos abordar o significado ‘material’ dessas valiosas afirmações populares que à data não têm merceido suficienteinvestigação fundamentada. Analisamos comparativamente o ciclo da marcha humana e do caminhar do tango desde uma perspectiva biomecânica e cinestésica. Mostramos que (i) o passo do tango tem um ritmo interno particular e um micro timing que pode ser caracterizado pela alternância periódica de uma série de categorias dicotômicas; (ii) há um fundamento biomecânicopara uma hierarquia forte-fraca na estrutura do passo e sua relação com a marcação isócrona da sua música. Estas descobertas têm implicações no ensino e na aprendizagem do tango, na medida em que contribuem para melhorar a forma como o fazemos, analisamos e situamos metricamente detalhes do ‘caminhar’ do tango. Finalmente, são apresentadas evidências que revelam que aestrutura deste caminhar foi um antecedente da marcação isócrona da música tango.
