After 25 years of Alicia Muñiz`s femicidewhich was a landmark in the development of the problem of violence against women in our countrythis thesis proposes a current approach to the topic of domestic violence from a historical perspective. In spite of the progresses and setbacks in State action, the National Act No. 26.485 of Comprehensive Protection to Prevent, Sanction and Eradicate the Violence Agaist Women, enacted in 2009, led to a number of debates and policy decisions which took the matter to the forefront of de public agenda. The present research is a proposal of dialogue between these advances and the everyday reality of the women who suffer from the problem of violence in the city of La Plata. To achieve that, we have reconstructed itineraries of women affected by domestic violence since the moment in which they looked for advice, assistance or institutional support.A case study allowed us to combine interviews done to twelve women who suffered that kind of violence with testimonies of twenty-four people involved in the subject, from governmental and non-governmental institutions, who ,in most of the cases, played a role in the assistance of those women. Moreover, we reviewed documentary sources and organizations and services that offer aid in the city of La Plata. We characterized the women's itineraries with special interest in their experiences, difficulties and strategies, adding the point of view of the people who interact with them in institutional areas, in order to understand the aspects which affect the accessibility. We identified agreements and disagreements that emerge between affected women`s necessities and expectations, and the responses offered by the differents areas concerning the subject. Our findings and considerations are expected to make a contribution to the problematization of the different situations that appear in this kind of pilgrimage made by these women, contributing to the process of implementation and/or adequacy of policies and approaches to the domestic violence in the territory.
