La cuenca Las Encadenadas del Oeste se localiza en el sudoeste de la provincia de Buenos Aires. Es una cuenca endorreica y un escenario de suma fragilidad ante eventos hidrológicos extremos, debido a su incapacidad para evacuar grandes volúmenes de agua. Por esta razón, es de suma importancia el conocimiento y la delimitación de su cuenca hidrológica. El objetivo del presente trabajo es establecer la dirección de la escorrentía superficial a partir de la aplicación de modelos hidrológicos e identificar divisorias de aguas. Se aplicó el modelo «Hydrologic Modeling», de Arc Gis, el cual consiste en determinar todas las celdas que drenan a una en particular. Se obtuvo una clasificación de las subcuencas en mayores, medias y conos aluviales activos. Los primeros formados por arroyos principales permanentes, las segundas formadas por arroyos secundarios que nacen de cárcavas y los conos aluviales sin cursos definidos, formados en la desembocadura de los arroyos principales y secundarios.
El Ordenamiento Territorial (OT) es un proceso que tiene como objetivo organizar, planificar y gestionar el uso y ocupación del territorio en función de sus características culturales, biofísicas, sociales, económicas y políticas. Se presenta como método planificado para la prevención de los problemas generados por desequilibrios territoriales, conflictos de uso de suelo y/o riesgos naturales. El área de estudio corresponde a la laguna Epecuén, localizada en la provincia de Buenos Aires, República Argentina. Esta área se caracteriza por su dinámica lacustre, la cual varía según atraviese períodos secos o húmedos, produciendo efectos negativos en localidades emplazadas en sus costas. El avance y retroceso del agua dificulta tanto los ingresos –a balnearios, monumentos, ruinas, etc.– como el usufructo de las instalaciones con fines recreativos y de esparcimiento. Producto de esta situación, estudiar las condiciones geográficas del área para establecer sitios óptimos de localización de un balneario que no se vean afectados por esta dinámica, se convirtió en el objetivo general de la investigación. Mediante análisis espacial y técnicas de Evaluación multicriterio se relacionaron variables geográficas para determinar los sitios óptimos planteados en el objetivo. De esta manera se arribó a una matriz que representa las celdas con diferentes grados de aptitud para la localización de un balneario.
<div><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="left"><tbody><tr><td align="left" valign="top"><p><span style="font-size: medium;">El presente artículo plantea un abordaje del concepto de ciclo hidro-social desde la perspectiva de la ecología política del agua. Este análisis teórico facilita el estudio del conflicto por el río Atuel, entre las provincias de La Pampa y Mendoza, Argentina, para explicar a través de una matriz los elementos que interactúan en el ciclo hidro-social y determinar las consecuencias que estos generan.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">El objetivo es analizar el ciclo hidro-social y su aplicación al problema para un sector del oeste pampeano cuyo eje organizador es el río Atuel.
