RESUMO-A utilização de simuladores de processo contribui de forma significativa para o desenvolvimento e otimização de processos industriais. Neste contexto, este trabalho tem como objetivo realizar simulações utilizando o pacote computacional comercial Aspen Hysys ® , a fim de analisar os parâmetros operacionais que influenciam a separação dos componentes indesejáveis no produto obtido a partir do craqueamento de óleo vegetal. As simulações foram realizadas variando-se a razão de refluxo e o número de pratos de uma coluna de destilação, mantendo-se constantes a pressão (101,3 kPa), a temperatura (70°C) e a composição da corrente de entrada do sistema multicomponente. A composição da corrente de entrada (hidrocarbonetos na faixa do querosene) foi retirada de dados da literatura obtidos experimentalmente a partir de uma unidade de craqueamento onde se utilizou óleo de palma para obter biocombustível.
Este trabalho teve como objetivo o projeto de uma planta para a produção de biodiesel de óleo de dendê, via rota etílica, empregando o simulador ASPEN HYSYS 2006. O óleo de dendê foi representado através dos triglicerídeos percentualmente mais representativos de sua composição, com 10% de acidez em relação à massa de óleo representada pelos ácidos palmítico e oleico. O fluxograma utilizou a desacidificação do óleo de palma com etanol como solvente em coluna de extração líquido-líquido em contracorrente com 10 pratos, a 101,3 kPa e 30°C, garantindo um óleo refinado isento de acidez. Foi utilizado um reator de conversão a 101,3 kPa e 75°C com o etanol na proporção de 6:1 molar e o NaOH a 1% em massa em relação ao óleo. Para as etapas de recuperação de etanol tanto para a desacidificação do óleo bruto quanto para a retirada do excesso do meio reacional foram utilizadas colunas de destilação fracionada de 10 pratos. O projeto utilizou também uma coluna de extração líquido-líquido, empregando a água como solvente, a 101,3 kPa e 70°C para a purificação do biodiesel seguido de um vaso flash para a evaporação da água residual. A planta apresentou convergência para a conversão do reator de transesterificação de 98%. A proposta da otimização das etapas de separação e purificação, foram validadas pelos valores atingidos na corrente de biodiesel final que correspondem às especificações da ANP (Agencia Nacional de Petróleo Gás Natural e Biocombustíveis) para glicerol residual, máximo de água e de etanol no biodiesel final.
RESUMO -Este trabalho tem como objetivo realizar simulações empregando o simulador comercial Aspen Hysys para avaliar os parâmetros operacionais ótimos à separação de componentes indesejáveis em uma mistura de hidrocarbonetos na faixa de querosene (175-235°C). A composição da mistura utilizada nas simulações foi retirada de dados da literatura obtidos experimentalmente a partir de uma unidade de craqueamento onde se utilizou óleo de palma para obter biocombustível. Para descrever o equilíbrio de fases do sistema multicomponente foram aplicados modelos de coeficiente de atividade (Wilson, NRTL e UNIQUAC) e equações de estado (PR, SRK e TST) com a matriz de parâmetros de interação, entre os constituintes da mistura multicomponente, da base de parâmetros do simulador. Mantendo-se constantes as condições de operação e a composição da corrente de entrada da coluna de destilação, se avaliou quais métodos de propriedades termodinâmicas forneceram os melhores resultados para o processo de purificação.
RESUMO -Este trabalho tem como objetivo simular o craqueamento térmico de óleo de canola. O simulador utilizado foi o Aspen HYSYS. O mecanismo de reação de craqueamento adotado, de acordo com a literatura, consiste em cinco etapas distintas: decomposição dos triglicerídeos, decomposição dos ácidos graxos, decomposição do cetano e da acroleína, formação do coque e formação do produto final. As condições operacionais utilizadas foram: temperatura de 400 °C e pressão 1 atm, escolhidas com base em dados de literatura. Utilizou-se óleo de canola como matéria-prima para as reações, cujos produtos são OLP (Produto orgânico líquido), gás e óleo residual. Os resultados da simulação foram analisados e comparados com os dados disponíveis na literatura. INTRODUÇÃOO interesse crescente por novas fontes alternativas de energia no Brasil e no mundo, que sejam menos poluentes que os combustíveis de origem fóssil, têm levado à pesquisas com foco na substituição gradual destes combustíveis. Além da preocupação com o meio ambiente no que tange à proteção e conservação ambiental, existe ainda a perspectiva de esgotamento das reservas de origem fóssil nas próximas décadas. Neste contexto, vários pesquisadores vêm se concentrando em fontes renováveis de combustíveis líquidos para substituir ou amenizar o consumo de produtos fósseis no futuro, com destaque para derivados da biomassa, em razão da sua natureza renovável, ampla disponibilidade, biodegradabilidade e baixo custo (Lhamas, 2013).Dentre as diversas rotas tecnológicas investigadas, se destaca o craqueamento, um método eficiente para a produção de biocombustíveis. A reação de craqueamento, ou pirólise, de triglicerídeos consiste no processo de quebra das cadeias carbônicas dos triésteres de origem animal ou vegetal pelo aumento da temperatura do sistema, resultando em uma mistura de compostos constituída, em sua maioria, por hidrocarbonetos lineares de diferentes pesos moleculares (Ma e Hanna, 1999). Os produtos do processo de craqueamento incluem parafinas e olefinas cíclicas e lineares, além de produtos oxigenados, tais como ácidos carboxílicos, cetonas, aldeídos, ésteres e acroleína (Maher e Bessler, 2007).
