ResumenDurante los trabajos arqueológicos realizados en el Cortijo de la Torre, en el pago de Agicampe (Loja, Granada), se localizaron los restos de un edificio de llamativas características. La prospección arqueológica en su entorno proporcionó cerámica perteneciente a la primera época andalusí, por lo que se consideró interesante llevar a cabo una intervención en él.En el presente trabajo ofrecemos los resultados de la excavación arqueológica allí realizada y el estudio de los materiales recuperados. A partir de los datos recogidos se reflexiona acerca de la cronología, origen, naturaleza y función de este edificio, ocupado durante el período emiral-califal y más tarde abandonado con la consolidación del Califato cordobés, coincidiendo con un momento de profunda reestructuración de los asentamientos en esta área. En el estudio, el yacimiento se relaciona también con las dinámicas de poblamiento documentadas en esta zona de la vega granadina.
