A un año de que la revista Contaduría y Administración forma parte del índice SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) en el área de Business Management and Accounting, es importarte comunicar que como resultado de la última evaluación publicada en julio de 2017 de dicho índice se logró posicionar a la revista en el cuartil Q3. Así mismo, y de igual importancia, es anunciar el nuevo posicionamiento de Contaduría y Administración en el Sistema de Clasificación de Revistas Mexicanas de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT), ya que ha sido elevada a la categoría del cuartil Q3. Encaminar nuestra labor editorial hacia las evaluaciones de los índices significa atender el proyecto institucional de nuestra Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, del Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología y de los repositorios a los que la revista se ha integrado. El trabajo editorial de Contaduría y Administración, y sus resultados en los últimos 8 años, la sitúa en nuevos proyectos y etapas; pero, sobre todo, a un mayor compromiso y responsabilidad para con las autoridades universitarias, comunidad académica y lectores. El presente número de la revista, el 62(4), abre con el artículo titulado Los efectos de largo plazo de la asimetría y persistencia en la predicción de la volatilidad: evidencia para mercados accionarios de América Latina, en el cual Raúl Gutiérrez, Edgar Ortiz y Oswaldo García proponen una extensión al modelo CGARCH con el fin de recoger las características de asimetría y persistencia de largo plazo, e investigan sus efectos en el modelado y predicción de la volatilidad condicional de los mercados accionarios de la región de América Latina en el período del 2 de enero de 1992 al 31 de diciembre de 2014. Entre sus resultados empíricos se destaca que el uso de medidas simétricas y asimétricas, así como la prueba estadística de Hansen son excelentes alternativas para evaluar el poder predictivo de los modelos CGARCH asimétricos. Sin duda, este trabajo es muy atractivo debido a sus implicaciones futuras en la administración de riesgos, el diseño de portafolios y estrategias de inversión, así como en la valuación de activos financieros derivados. En el siguiente trabajo, Modelo de asociatividad en la cadena productiva en las Mipymes agroindustriales, Lila Bada, Luis Rivas y Herman Littlewood proponen un modelo de asociatividad en la cadena productiva de las micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas (Mipymes) agroindustriales de cítricos en el norte del Estado de Veracruz, México, para explicar en qué medida los actores directos, los servicios de apoyo, el entorno, las relaciones y las políticas de gobierno determinan la asociatividad en la cadena productiva. El resultado de esta investigación es un modelo que representa el funcionamiento de estas empresas en asociatividad con la cadena
En el primer número de este año informamos sobre el aniversario sesenta de Contaduría y Administración y se presentó una breve descripción de sus antecedentes inmediatos, naturalmente sin ánimo de obscurecer o escatimar reconocimiento a quienes por razones de espacio no pudimos brindárselo en esa ocasión. Indudablemente el enunciar todas y cada una de las contribuciones que han hecho posible nuestra revista sería una tarea ardua y siempre con el riesgo de no hacer justicia debida a todos quienes han dedicado sus esfuerzos a cristalizar los logros que se han alcanzado. Este número especial también es parte de la conmemoración de los veinte años del Congreso Internacional
