RESUMOEsse trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar os constituintes químicos, o índice de acidez e o índice de iodo do óleo obtido a partir das sementes da cagaita (Eugenia dysenterica) coletados no município de Nova Andradina e no distrito de Nova Casa Verde, ambos no estado de Mato Grosso do Sul. Para fins de comparação, utilizou-se o óleo de soja, pois é o óleo vegetal mais produzido no Brasil. Após realizada as análises de duas amostra de óleo produzida a partir das sementes da cagaita, o óleo obtido a partir das sementes coletadas no distrito de Nova Casa Verde apresentou 0,38 % de índice de acidez e 122,13 g I2/100g de índice de iodo, e 0,41% de índice de acidez e 126,48 g I2/100g de índice de iodo para o óleo obtido a partir das sementes coletadas em Nova Andradina. Os resultados também foram comparados com o óleo de soja comercial, que possui em torno de 0,087% de índice de acidez e 124 g I2/100g de índice de iodo. Dessa forma, o óleo obtido a partir das sementes da cagaita mostrou ser mais ácido que o óleo de soja, necessitando de processos que reduza essa acidez para que o óleo atenda ao padrão estabelecido pela ANVISA.

Small nucleolar RNAs (snoRNAs) are non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), usually located in intronic regions. SnoRNAs are classified based on their specific sequence and secondary structural characteristics (Calvo e Köhn, 2021). In addition, snoRNAs can be associated with some long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs), such as SNHGs-small nucleolar host gene (Zhu et al., 2019).Early studies on snoRNAs reported that these molecules are present in a variety of eukaryotic organisms, being one of the most abundant groups of ncRNAs (Kiss, 2002). Introdução: A esquistossomose conhecida popularmente como barriga d'água, é uma doença parasitária causada pelo helminto Schistosoma mansoni que tem como hospedeiro intermediário caramujos gastrópodes aquáticos do gênero Biomphalaria, tendo como hospedeiro definito os seres humanos onde completam seu ciclo de vida. Objetivo: Descrever o perfil epidemiológico da esquistossomose no estado do Maranhão, entre os anos de 2018 a 2022. Metodologia: O estado do Maranhão é uma das 27 Unidades Federativas do Brasil e está localizado na região nordeste do país. Este estudo trata-se de uma pesquisa quantitativa, transversal e descritiva de casos de esquistossomose entre os anos de 2018 a 2022 no estado do Maranhão. Os dados foram coletados por meio do banco de dados do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN). Para análise das notificações utilizou-se as seguintes variáveis: município e ano de notificação, idade, sexo, raça/cor escolaridade. Como o SINAN é uma base de dados de domínio público não houve a necessidade do envio deste estudo para um Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa. Resultados: Durante o período do estudo foram notificados 100 casos de esquistossomose no Maranhão, os quais a maioria ocorreu no ano de 2018 (54 = 54,0%). O município Pinheiro, localizados na Baixada Maranhense, apresentou o maior índice de notificação dessa parasitose (39=39,0%). Quanto ao perfil sociodemográfico dessa parasitose, observou-se um maior acometimento em indivíduos com idade entre 40 a 59 anos (37=37,0%), do sexo masculino (67=67,0%) e que se autodeclararam ser da raça parda 63 (63,0%). Já em relação a escolaridade, houve predominância da patologia em indivíduos que possuíam a 1ª a 4ª série do Ensino Fundamental Incompleta (36=36,0%). Conclusão: Diante dos dados encontrados no estudo, observase a grande necessidade da implementação de estratégias de saúde pública voltadas para a prevenção da esquistossomose no estado do Maranhão, principalmente para o grupo mais acometido por essa parasitose, sendo ele, em sua maioria, indivíduos do sexo masculino e pardos, com idade de 40 a 59 anos e com baixos níveis de escolaridade.
