In this work, we have explored the catalytic activity of Keggin-type heteropolyanions PMo12−nVnO40(3+n)− (n = 0, 1, 2, or 3) in the form of sodium salts in green oxidation routes of terpene alcohols with hydrogen peroxide.
In this work, we describe the use of iron (III) silicotungstate as a catalyst for the synthesis of solketal, a fuel bioadditive, from glycerol and acetone. A high yield of solketal was achieved in glycerol acetalization with acetone at room temperature at short reaction time (ca. 1 h). Among the various metal silicotungstates (i.e.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
