Mesityloxid (II) reagiert mit Hydroxylaminhydrochlorid in Gegenwart von Na‐methylat in Methanol nicht zum Isoxazolin (I), sondern neben den isomer Oximen (III) bzw. (IV) entsteht das Isoxazolin (V) und das Isoxazolidin (VI) (bzw. der Methyläther).
Mesityloxid (III) reagiert mit dem Hydroxylamin (II) in Abhängigkeit vom pH‐ Wert entweder zu dem Hydroxyisoxazolidin (I) oder dem Methoxy‐isoxazolidin (IV) (1,4‐Addition).
Aus den Arylisoxazoliniumperchloraten (I) entstehen unter der Einwirkung von wäl Iigem Na2CO3 bei 10°C (analog auch bei der Behandlung mit methanolischem Na‐methylat bei ‐20°C) über die Stufe der Addukte (II) die Arylisoxazoline (III).
