Sakit kepala sebelah (migrain) merupakan sesuatu situasi kronik yang bersifat episodik dan tidak mengancam nyawa, namun kondisi ini bisa mempengaruhi kesehatan psikologis dan hubungan sosial. Data World Health Organization (WHO) pada tahun 2018 menerangkan sebesar 50-75% orang berusia umur 18-65 tahun di dunia menderita sakit kepala, sepanjang satu tahun terakhir 10% dari populasi manusia mengidap sakit kepala sebelah selama 15 hari atau lebih setiap bulan. Migrain diakibatkan oleh sebagian aspek seperti hormon, nutrisi, cuaca, tekanan pikiran, emosi, kualitas tidur, permasalahan sensori (pewangi, asap rokok serta lain-lain). Kualitas tidur buruk dapat terjadi pada siapa saja. Kualitas tidur yang buruk pada pasien migrain sering terjadi, yang diakibatkan dari serangan migrain karena dapat mengubah proses modulasi nyeri sehingga lebih peka terhadap nyeri yang menjadi mekanisme terjadinya kualitas tidur yang buruk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kualitas tidur pada penderita migrain di Poli Saraf RSUD Cut Meutia dengan melibatkan 53 responden penderita migrain. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif observasional. Hasil analisis univariat didapatkan karakteristik responden terbanyak jenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 32 responden (60,4%) dan usia terbanyak kategori dewasa awal sebanyak 16 responden (30,2%). Gambaran kualitas tidur responden terbanyak yaitu kategori buruk sebanyak 47 responden (88,7%). Gambaran kualitas tidur buruk dengan jenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 31 responden (96,9%), dan kualitas tidur buruk dengan usia dewasa awal sebanyak 15 responden (93,8%). Kesimpulan penelitian ini gambaran kualitas tidur pada pasien penderita migrain terbanyak yaitu kategori buruk sebanyak 47 responden (88,7%).
