Since the Chinese government put forward the strategy of ecological civilization, China’s ecological environment has been significantly improved. At present, in some places, there is a phenomenon that the ecological environment and economic development are not coordinated. Taking Beijing as an example, this paper uses decoupling theory to study the relationship between water resources use level and economic development in Beijing. The results show that the relationship between water resources use and economic development has been obviously decoupled in Beijing. Beijing government can make further efforts in increasing investment in education, improving the level of investment in science and technology, so as to promote the coordination of water resources utilization and economic development.
Since the Chinese government put forward the strategy of ecological civilization construction, great achievements have been made in the construction of ecological civilization in our country. At present, there are a series of uncoordinated phenomena among energy, environment, and economic development in China. Taking Chongqing as an example, this paper uses decoupling theory to study the relationship between energy, environment, and economic development. The results show that the environment and economic development in Chongqing have been decoupled, and the energy consumption and economic development have also been decoupled. The main reasons are as follows: the increase of investment in science and technology; the improvement of personnel quality and the adjustment of economic structure. Chongqing Municipal Government should further increase investment in education, science and technology, take more scientific and effective measures to adjust the industrial structure in order to achieve further coordinated development of energy, environment and economy.
While developing our economy, we also attach great importance to pollution prevention and control in order to improve the environmental quality. Water environmental pollution is an important part of environmental pollution. It is very meaningful to alleviate the pressure of water environment through the prevention and control of water environmental pollution. This paper uses decoupling theory to analyze the relationship between water environmental pressure and economic growth in Shanghai. The results show that, there is a strong decoupling between water environmental pressure and economic growth in Shanghai. The main reason is the transformation of industrial structure and the increase of investment in science and technology.
Improving air quality is important to improve the quality of the environment. Taking Shanghai city as an example, this paper analyzes the main factors affecting the air quality by using the grey correlation theory. The results show that, in accordance with the influence factors for air quality from big to small order, influence factors are as follows::energy consumption quantity;the population; environmental inputs;GDP quantity;vehicle owenership quantity;RD inputs. Therefore, we should focus on reducing the amount of energy consumption and the number of population firstly. On the other hand, some effective measures should be taken to further increase investment in environmental protection and to improve the quality of economic development. At the same time , we should make scientific policies to control the number of motor vehicles, and to further enhance the level of scientific research.
