Producto de 19 años completos de investigaciones de campo, examen de especímenes depositados em colecciones de museos y estudios referenciales paralelos, el inventário malacológico sistemático marino del Estado de Santa Catarina, Región Subtropical Central Sur del Brasil, es finalmente presentado, comportando un total de 671 espécies e subespécies confirmadas (11 Polyplacophora, 400 Gastropoda, 10 Scaphopoda, 226 Bivalvia y 24 Cephalopoda), distribuídas en 365 gêneros e 152 famílias, correspondientes al 42% del total estimado para el Brasil en general. De estas apenas dos son contempladas por categorias oficiales de conservación, cuatro constituyen reconocidas formas exóticas invasoras, y al menos otras 10 encuentranse directamente envolvidas en actividades antrópicas de maricultura, pesca y extractivismo.

A new total of nine continental gastropod forms are incorporated to the previous systematic malacological inventory of Santa Catarina's State/SC, central southern Brazil region, the species Helicina schereri Baker, 1913, Assiminea sp, Lamellaxis clavulinus (Potiez and Michaud, 1838), Lamellaxis (Leptopeas) cf. mizius Marcus & Marcus, 1968, Plekocheilus (Eurytus) sp, Rhinus cf. longisetus (Moricand, 1846), Simpulopsis cf. ovata Sowerby, 1822, Megalobulimus klappenbachi Leme, 1964, and Zilchogyra cleliae Weyrauch, 1965. Included in eight genera and seven families, raise the state record for 220 species and subspecies regionally known (190 gastropods - 148 terrestrial, 2 amphibian and 40 limnic/freshwater –, and 30 freshwater bivalves).

Introduction: Since of the year 2014, the “AM Project” (Brazil) has been carrying out taxonomic, bioecological and conservationist research on "non-marine molluscs" present in the environment of the Caribbean continental territory of the Sucre State and adjacent areas, Northeast region of Venezuela , with special emphasis on its terrestrial and arboreal forest species (Agudo-Padrón 2021), a geographic region historically little studied in this aspect of its natural history, involving today a general preliminary total of 67 verified forms/ species (44 land/ terrestrial and 23 limnic/ freshwater), included in 49 genera and 28 families. Objective: Substantial update of this knowledge, with the incorporation of new species to the regional inventory. Methodology: Updated review of cryptic regional malacological bibliography and taxonomic examination & determination of specimens (vouchers) deposited in malacological collection of scientific museum. Results and conclusions: Incorporation of three (3) land/ terrestrial gastropod (forest snail) species into the previously established regional inventory, taxonomically grouped all into 1 genera and 1 family, bringing to 47 its your number of regionally land known forms.

A sociedade brasileira passa por uma constante expansão demográfica, implicando, entre outros fatores, na intensa degradação ambiental na qual se vive atualmente. O desflorestamento, a pecuária, a criação de campos para a agricultura, assim como, as ocupações irregulares em encostas e áreas de preservação permanentes implicam em grandes modificações do meio-ambiente. O presente estudo procurou reunir e integrar o conhecimento geral disponível sobre a bacia hidrográfica da Lagoa do Peri, o maior reservatório natural de água doce existente no município de Florianópolis - Santa Catarina, localizado no perímetro da Unidade de Conservação de mesmo nome, na costa Leste-Sul da Ilha de Santa Catarina. Pretende-se, desta forma, enfatizar o gerenciamento dos recursos hídricos e análise do uso e ocupação da terra, incluindo informações sobre a legislação e justificativas que levaram a criação da sua categoria como área protegida e a evolução urbana que acontece na região.
