The article summarizes a small part of the research material, which considers the context search of the landscape space, architecture, and the indoor space in the architecture of education and art buildings. The schools and art buildings built at the turn of the 20th/21st century awarded with the Prize of the Year at the Latvian Architecture Best Works Award are used in the research. The context of the language of architecture and landscape space is formed by the knowledge of interdisciplinary directions of science that essentially affect the ecological, visual, visually aesthetic, and economic indicators. Studying more closely at this, this is also true of the aesthetic-psychological interactions among landscape architecture, architecture, and interior design, which are achieved in building sites with widespread glazed facades. Thanks to today's highly advanced construction technology capabilities, the visual transparency and illusory ease of buildings are increasingly able to create visual interconnections among the landscape space, architectural form creation, and interior.
Wide-ranging use of glass systems in modern sacral architecture extends the traditional dialogue between indoor and outdoor space and makes architects look for new forms or harmony between the two, at the same time keeping focus on the most important thing -sense of God's presence and idea of spiritual transcendence. Compositional application of coloristics, light and shadow under the impact of insolation and visual accents created by the play of light and shadow should underline altarpiece in church space creating the necessary balance and arranging priorities in the right order. Aesthetic harmony has a subordinated significance. A picturesque landscape seen through a glass system has only a subordinate importance. Harmony of indoor/outdoor space in sacral architecture is achieved only in those cases when expressing a hierarchy or priority values such as an altarpiece accentuated with the help of light, interior design opening to the sky, picturesque view of nature. In order to reach the maximum result a synthesis of mentioned methods is recommended.
In the art of environmental design, architecture, landscape architecture and interiors need to be balanced through interdisciplinary collaborative planning to enhance the psycho-emotional quality of environment, and in this respect, the study of the interaction of landscapes and indoor space through comparative analysis and inductive reference continue. Enclosed by evergreen Vacciniosa type of forest, the impressive building of the new Roja Stage / Summer Concert Hall has been standing proudly on the shores of the Gulf of Riga since 2019. The building actively contrasts with the surrounding landscape. The language of architectural forms in glass and concrete is geometrically sharp, saturated with broken lines and planes in contrast to the adjacent natural landscape, pine forest. The specific detailed case study underlines the importance of balanced interdisciplinary collaboration in harmonious interaction between architecture, landscape and indoor space.
