Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) with natural dye from Leunca fruit (Solanum Nigrym L) and Jamblang fruit (Syzygium Cumini L) extract as sensitizer has been created. This DSSC is composed of ZnO doping TiO2 using milling tool for 30 minutes which would be used as photoelectrodes. This study used two natural dyes which are Leunca and Jamblang fruit. The characterizations were performed to examine crystal structure of ZnO-TiO2 with XRD, to measure ZnO-TiO2 particle size with SEM, to examine optical properties from the dye using UV-Vis spectrophotometer, and to run an electrical test to find the efficiency from DSSC. The results indicate that the use of Jamblang fruit as sensitizer is better than Leunca fruit. This is because Jamblang fruit extract has light absorption area on the range of 250 -800 nm which is higher absorbance than that of Leunca fruit. In addition, the milling time applied was found to be not long enough to produce semiconductor with smaller crystal size. The electrical test result shows Jamblang fruit based DSSC performance is better than Leunca fruit. The maximum power output values are 4.01 x 10 −8 Watt with the efficiency of 22.57 x 10 −4 % and 2.16 x 10 −7 Watt with efficiency of 6.02 x 10 −4 % when radiated with Halogen lamp and sunlight, respectively. Aside from the fact that the preparation technique is relatively easy, natural dye material can be found abundantly in nature and its price is also cheap, hence this study is very promising. However, several changes are needed to gain better results. The brief of this research is to develop alternative energy from solar energy, so that its use can be maximized as environmentally-friendly energy source.
This study aims to determine the effect of the application of learning CD media based on the SAVI approach (Somatic Auditory-Visual Intellectual) on students learning outcomes on the concept of symptoms of global warming. This research was carried out at 11 Bekasi Senior High School in March 2019. The research method used was a quasiexperimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study was taken by purposive sampling which consists of class XI MIA 3 (experimental class) and class XI MIA 4 (control class). The instruments used were test instruments in the form of essays and non-test instruments in the form of questionnaires. Based on the results of the hypothesis testing of the posttest data by using the parametric statistical test in the form of the t-test at a significance level of 0.05, the sig value was obtained. (2tailed) of 0.001 which means that sig. <0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, with the learning CD-based mechanism of the SAVI Approach proven to influence student Learning Outcomes on the concept of symptoms of global warming. In addition, the overall response of students also shows excellent responses with an average percentage value of 81%.
Learning media that are commonly used in schools are still conventional so they have several weaknesses in the transfer of learning information. Augmented Reality (AR) can be used as alternative learning media. This study aims to determine the level of feasibility and effectiveness of mechanical wave AR media in learning. The research method used is the type of Jan van den Akker development research, which has steps such as preliminary research, prototyping stage, summative evaluation, and systematic reflection and documentation. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique. Mechanical wave AR media was declared very feasible by learning media experts, learning design experts, and material experts with an average value of 91.7%, as well as assessment by students of 88%. The effectiveness of the media is shown by the average completeness of student learning outcomes by 70% and is very effective based on the physics teacher's assessment of 94%.
The purpose of this research is to analyze the availability of questions on higher order thinking that was developed in textbook in the concept of rigid body. The textbook selected for this research is the most physics textbook used in the high school in South Tangerang in the terms of 2015/2016, that the most textbook used is, the textbook from Marthen Kanginan (book I) and the textbook from Tim Kreatif Fisika (book II). The research method we used is descriptive method with triangulasi data technique analysis. Using the instrument of non-test such as questionnaire, interview guidance, and observation sheets. Analysis result shows that the availability of question on higher order thinking in book I (Marthen Kanginan's book) was 51,6% and in book II (Tim Kreatif Fisika's book) was 26,5%. The percentage indicated that book I (Marthen Kanginan's book) was dominated by the questions that developed higher order thinking and book II (Tim Kreatif Fisika's book) was dominated by the questions that developed lower order thinking.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
