This paper presents a new compact microstrip filtering antenna with modified shaped slots to improve the impedance bandwidth. The proposed microstrip filtering antenna consists of three parts: the monopole radiating patch antenna; the Stepped Impedance Resonator (SIR) filter; and the feeding microstrip line. The designed structure is achieved on one-sided glass epoxy FR-4 substrate with dielectric constant εr = 4.4 and thickness h = 1.6 mm. The design procedure of the proposed filtering antenna starts from the second-order Chebyshev low pass filter (LPF) prototype. The achieved results show an excellent performance of S11-parameter with broadside antenna gain on +z-direction. Having two transmission zeros at 5.4 GHz and 7.7 GHz, good skirt selectivity and a wide-band impedance bandwidth of about 1.66 GHz makes the designed filtering antenna suitable for high-speed data communications. Both the simulation results generated by using the Computer Simulation Technology (CST) software package and the measurement achieved by using a vector network analyzer (HP 8510C) and the anechoic chamber show good agreement.
In this paper, a Fuzzy Neural Petri Net (FNPN) controller has been designed established on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for controlling the path tracking of Wheeled Mobile Robot (WMR). The path planning controller problem has been solved using two FNPN controllers to get the desired velocity and azimuth. The PSO method has used to detection the optimal values parameters of FNPN controllers. The overall models of wheeled mobile robot for path tracking control created on PSO algorithm are implemented in Simulink-Matlab. Simulation outcomes demonstrate the suggested FNPN controllers is more effectiveness and has good dynamic performance than the conventional methods.

The simulation results throughout this article are done by a computer simulation technology (CST) software. The simulated results have been achieved show good performance of S11-parameter and broad side antenna gain on +z-direction. This design has two transmission zeros at 5.4 GHz and 7.7 GHz, and bandwidth (B.W) of about 1.66 GHz so; it is suitable for high speed data communication. This design has good skirt selectivity.
This paper presents the speed control of a separately excited DC motor using Neural Network (NN) controller in field weakening region. In armature control, speed controller has been used in outer loop while current controller in inner loop is used. The function of NN is to predict the field current that realizes the field weakening to drive the motor over rated speed. The parameters of NN are optimized by the Social Spider Optimization (SSO) algorithm. The system has been implemented using MATLAB/SIMULINK software. The simulation results show that the proposed method gives a good performance and is feasible to be applied instead of others conventional combined control methods.
We report in this paper the simulation analysis on the simultaneous deployment of Brillouin gain and Brillouin loss in the Golay coded phase-shift pulse Brillouin optical time domain analysis (PSP-BOTDA) fiber optic sensor for improving the sensing distance and at the same time obtaining high spatial resolution measurement. In this technique, the Golay coded pump pulse is alternately frequency modulated for the purpose of generating Stokes and Anti-Stokes scattering. The technique also modulates the coded pump with the return-to-zero (RZ) formats. Simulation analysis has revealed that the simultaneous use of Brillouin gain- and loss and the pulse coding technique in the PSP-BOTDA has improved the dynamic sensing range and the signal-to-noise improvement ratio (SNIR) of the sensor. By performing simulation over 500 m of fiber, we have also successfully demonstrated 10-cm of high spatial resolution measurement with the use of 1ns of coded pulse duration.
