Attendance is important for university students. However, generic way of taking attendance in universities may include various problems. Hence, a face recognition system for attendance taking is one way to combat the problem. This paper will present an automated system that will automatically saves student’s attendance into the database using face recognition method. The paper will elaborate on student attendance system, image processing, face detection and face recognition. The face detection part will be done by using viola-jones algorithm method while the face recognition part will be carried on by using local binary pattern (LBP) method. The system will ensure that the attendance taking process will be faster and more accurate.

Halalan Toyyiban issues acknowledged the need of additional protection for good quality assurance food and should be applied in the food industries. All the food ingredients must be safe, hygiene and nutritious to be used by the consumers. Many chemical ingredients have been added in the food production process in enhancing the food characteristics and act as stabilizer, artificial colour, preservatives, artificial sweetener. This paper presents Halal Food Additive Using Fuzzy Expert Systems (FES) to determine the Halalan Toyyiban safety rating for food additives based on consumers’ past experienced record in allergy complication. The significant of this project is to provide the consumers with health awareness to prevent the health risk that caused by these food additives. This research focuses on 42 types of Halal food additives and 12 type symptoms of allergies that are commonly faced by the consumers.

This study attempts to obtain the user requirements for the collection and to identify the user requirement for the EmoViLE. This VLE will to the student by improving the user experience and increasing their engagement when using the VLE, and lecturer in helping them to understa a better future plan for their learning assessment. The methodology in doing this study are Phase 1 which involved the initial study on the previous work, Phase 2 is the data collection on the user requirement, Phase 3 which involves the design process of the VLE, Phase 4 is the development phase of the VLE and Phase 5 is the testing on the prototype o expected outcome is a prototype of the VLE with the emotive interface feature that can contribute for the improvement and betterment on teaching and learning process between students and lecturer. This study attempts to obtain the user requirements for the EmoViLE to identify the user requirement for the EmoViLE. This VLE will student by improving the user experience and increasing their engagement when using lecturer in helping them to understand their student better and to come out with a better future plan for their learning assessment. Residential high-rises are unique properties that differ from landed properties such as bungalows or terrace houses. They are unique insofar as, after the properties have been occupied, facilities must be jointly managed by residents. The continuous growth of high-rise residential buildings specifies that there is a need for effective ownership and property management system to instill a valuable living experience among high-rise residents in this country. Looking at this scenario, this research takes an initiative to develop a mobile application that supports streamline information with assistive features to improve communication and information sharing for high-rise residential management in Malaysia. This aim is achieved by answering three research objectives, including identifying user requirements, designing the application prototype and developing the artefact and evaluating the artefact. The study was conducted together with LT Sdn Bhd, the property management company responsible in managing and maintaining property related matters of Seroja Apartment. An adopted conceptual framework for property management based on the sustainable indicator dimensions for property management and applicable features from existing mobile application to develop the artefact has been proposed. The conceptual framework was proposed based on literature review and nature of work observed on site. Lastly, the study successfully validated the proposed adopted framework against the artefact, the MyLT mobile application.
