Saat ini, fatwa tidak hanya diproduksi oleh lembaga keagamaan seperti Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI), Nahdlatul Ulama dan Muhammadiyah, namun juga oleh seorang pemimpin agama secara individu. Penggunaan media sosial dan situs web membuat lebih mudah bagi seorang pemimpin agama untuk menyebarkan pendapat mereka sendiri. Orang sekarang saling saling berhubungan satu sama lain. Pakar agama menyebarkan pandangan religius mereka melalui situs pribadi bahkan melalui media sosial. Melalui situs pribadi mereka, intelektual Muslim Indonesia Nadirsyah Hosen dan Firanda misalnya, menggunakan situs pribadi mereka untuk menyebarkan gagasan religiusnya. Nadirsyah Hosen lulus dari universitas Barat, sementara Firanda adalah lulusan Arab Saudi. Artikel ini coba membedah distingsi keilmuan kedua tokoh itu dengan melihat fokus kajian masing-masing. Termasuk bagaimana isu kontemporer memengaruhi pandangan mereka. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis isi, studi ini menemukan bahwa keduanya menggunakan berbagai argumen ilmiah berdasarkan berbagai literatur. Pada tingkat tertentu, Nadirsyah mencoba menggabungkan literatur klasik dan modern, sementara Firanda memusatkan perhatian pada penggunaan literatur klasik. Masing-masing pendekatan ini memiliki implikasi untuk gagasan pribadi mereka.
Penelitian ini menyajikan isu-isu kontemporer terkait dengan diskursus khilafah di media online, http://hizbut-tahrir.or.id. Situs tersebut merupakan halaman resmi milik Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI). Peneliti menfokuskan pada isu-isu kontemporer yang dibahas dalam halaman terkait. Hal tersebut dilakukan untuk mengetahui tema apa saja yang menjadi pembahasan mereka. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguraikan konstruksi diskursus khilafah, khususnya dalam isu-isu kontemporer. Tujuan lainnya adalah untuk mengetahui karakter diskursus khilafah yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga isu utama di hizbut-tahrir.or.id. Pertama, mengenai bahayanya neoliberalisme dan neoimperalisme. Kedua, mengenai terorisme dan kekerasan. Ketiga, tentang isu lingkungan hidup. Karakter diskursus khilafah. Pertama, menggunakan sejarah sebagai legitimasi keagamaan. Kedua, penonjolan identitas keislaman yang mencolok.
This study presents the contemporary issues related to the discourse of the caliphate in the online media. Online media studied were http://hizbut-tahrir.or.id page. The website is an official website belonging to Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI). There are two key concepts used in this article, namely the study of the ummah and community unimaginable (Imagined Community). These two theories urgent to support the findings of the analysis of discourse built on construction related caliphate. The former is used to construct an argument about the unimaginable imagination regarding the establishment of a caliphate. The second is intended to focus on how important the caliphate discourse touted as the impact of the attention on the issue. Researcher focused on contemporary issues are discussed in the related pages. That is because to know what are the themes of their discussion. The purpose of this study is to describe the construction of a caliphate discourse, especially in contemporary issues. Another aim is to know the characters used caliphate discourse. The results showed three main issues in hizbut-tahrir.or.id page. First, regarding the dangers of neo-liberalism and neoimperalisme. Secondly, regarding terrorism and violence. Thirdly, on environmental issues. While the character of the caliphate discourse shows two characters. First, using history as a religious legitimacy. Second, prominent Islamic identity are striking.
