Traditional knowledge is very synonymous with communities and tribes around the world, especially indigenous peoples or in Malaysia known as Orang Asli. This knowledge is borne out of the constraints faced by society in daily life and often passed down from generation to generation. All aspects of life in the community such as traditional medicines, pest and disease control, farming method, tools used in the preparation of soil and roads, methods of food preparation and so on are assisted by the traditional knowledge created by the community itself. Asian clams (Corbicula fluminea), locally known as “etak” in Kelantan dialect, Malaysia, has been consumed by the local community as a snack for a years. Smoked “etak” is prepared traditionally using freshly harvested “etak” from the river or natural habitat. Freshly harvested “etak” is then washed thoroughly and soak overnight to remove sand and dirt. Followed by, marinating with the previously prepared spices and soak for about 2 hours. The last process is to smoke the “etak” on the fire with medium heat. “Etaks” are placed on a platform made of bamboo with height of about one meter above the ground. Beneath it was lighted with firewood and before “etak” can be placed on a bamboo platform, it was necessary to make sure that the firewood is burned to the coals. This is to ensure that the “etak” shell is not opened as it is considered to be damaged and should not be eaten as a snack. “Etak” with shell open will dry and lose its juiciness and flavor. “Etak” should be stirred all the time when it is on a platform with medium heat fire. “Etak” is usually smoked for about 45 minutes and left to cool down before eating or selling. Based on an interview and observation conducted, it can be concluded that smoked “etak” which is prepared using traditional method is preferred by consumers, as it has a unique aroma and flavor. Hence, the current study aims to document this knowledge through informal conversational interview with “etak” smokers and consumers in Kelantan as well as observing the working mechanism of this method.

It consists of seven mainparts. Part 1 of this review focused on future direction of infographics. Part 2 of this review presents thefuture study of software engineering. Part 3 explores the future of digital storytelling. Part 4 shows thefuture trends in computer generated imagery. Part 5 discovers future potential of mobile games. Part 6reveals the future development of intelligent tutoring systems. Lastly, Part 7 discusses the future researchof human computer interaction.
AbstrakPembelajaran berasaskan studio merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang menekankan kepadapencapaian hasil kerja pelajar. Pembelajaran ini adalah berorientasikan kepada pelajar. Pelajar akandiberi peluang untuk merancang dan seterusnya membangunkan projek yang dirancang. Perlaksanaanprojek akan dipantau oleh pensyarah yang bertindak sebagai fasilitator. Bagi memperkasakan lagikonsep pembelajaran berasaskan studio ini, maka unsur-unsur kemahiran insaniah perlu dipertingkatkan.Melalui kaedah pembelajaran di abad ke 21 ini, ciri-ciri keusahawanan seperti kemahiran berkomunikasi,kemahiran merancang, kemahiran bekerja dalam kumpulan serta sifat-sifat keusahawanan seperti cekal,rajin, kuat bekerja, amanah, kuat berusaha dan sebagainya perlu diterapkan dalam diri setiap pelajar.Melalui gabungan antara ciri-ciri kemahiran insaniah dan ciri-ciri keusahawanan ini, maka satu kaedahpembelajaran berasaskan studio dan berorientasikan pelajar telah dilaksanakan. Berdasarkan kepadakajian yang dijalankan, adalah didapati bahawa kaedah pembelajaran berasaskan usahawan ini telahberupaya meningkatkan tahap kemahiran insaniah pelajar serta memotivasikan pelajar. AbstractStudio-based learning (SBL) is a learning approach that emphasizes on the achievement of students'works. SBL is student-oriented. Students will be given the opportunity to plan and develop the project. Theproject implementation will be monitored by the lecturer acting as a facilitator. To enhance studio-basedlearning concept, the elements of soft skills need to be enhanced. Aligned with the 21st century learning,entrepreneurial traits such as communication, planning and teamwork skills as well as entrepreneurialattributes such as perseverance, dilligent, trustworthy, and hardworking should be instilled in everystudent. Through a combination of the characteristics of soft skills and entrepreneurial, then a studiobased learning method and student-oriented have been implemented. Based on the study, it was foundthat the method of entrepreneur-based learning (EBL) has been able to raise the level of students' softskills and motivate students.

Artikel ini menjejaki evolusi pembangunan teknologi media digital,peluang dan cabaran terhadap pengamal industri. Kajian literatur berkaitan dan analisis kandunganmedia digital berdasarkan bentuk dan keupayaannya (Penerokaan, Eksperimen, Komunikasi, Komposit,dan Pintar) dan mengetengahkan perbincangan isu-isu berkaitan peluang dan cabaran dalam industri.Pembangunan media digital mencipta beberapa peluang baru untuk penghasilan kandungan digital darisegi kreativiti, kebebasan dan fleksibel untuk berinteraksi dengan media digital. Walau bagaimanapun,terdapat beberapa cabaran yang perlu diatasi seperti pemilikan maklumat, hak cipta dan harta intelek bagimemastikan masyarakat digital memperoleh manfaat sebenar pembangunan media digital. Abstract Digital media has been identified as one of the most important media in the 21st century. This kind of newmedia is considered the most effective way to manage the high volume amount of digital data createdevery day especially in cyber world. This article traces the evolution of digital media in its technologicaldevelopment, opportunities and practitioners-challenges in the industry. The critical review on relatedliterature leads to five categories of digital media based on their forms, abilities (Investigational,Experimental, Communicative, Composite, and Intelligent) and highlights opportunities and challengingissues in the industry. The development of digital media creates several opportunities to the contentcreator in terms of their creativity, freedom and flexibility to interact with digital media. However, there arefew serious challenges need to be overcome such as information ownership, copyright and intellectualproperty in order to ensure that digital society gain the real benefit of digital media development.The findings could assist the digital content providers, new media practitioner as well as informationcommunication technologist to discover their directions toward optimizing the digital media technology asa tool for their needs and be prepared for some possible challenges.
