En este documento se utilizan herramientas de análisis de redes tradicionales para describir las características generales de la estructura del Mercado Electrónico Colombiano (MEC). Se encontró queéste está fuertemente concentrado en unos pocos agentes, con bajo nivel de conectividad, aunque con un alto grado de reciprocidad en las relaciones entre los agentes. Se calcularon indicadores de centralidad diaria para cada uno de aquéllos, buscando identificar cuáles son sistémicos según su posición relativa en la red. Este análisis permitió observar que en el MEC los agentes más grandes, los que tienen mayor número de conexiones, aquellos con mayor capacidad de intermediación, y los que tienen relaciones cercanas con agentes más importantes tienden a ser los mismos cada día. Finalmente, vía simulaciones, se buscó medir qué tan sensible es la estructura de red del MEC ante la ausencia de los agentes más conectados. ResumenDurante losúltimos años el análisis del riesgo de crédito y su dinámica se ha convertido en un tema de alta importancia para la estabilidad del sistema financiero. Es por esto que resulta vital estudiar los co-movimientos que se presentan entre este riesgo y el ciclo económico. En este documento se utiliza un modelo multivariado de componentes no observados con el fin de identificar los ciclos que caracterizan el riesgo de crédito y la actividad económica. Los resultados indican que las fluctuaciones del PIB y el indicador de mora se dan en ciclos de alta y baja frecuencia, y que en ambos casos los movimientos de la actividad económica y el riesgo de crédito ocurren en sentido contrario.
