Este trabajo es una aproximación al estudio de los gradientes térmicos en Andalucía. Para ello se ha dividido el territorio en áreas topográficamente homogéneas a las que se ha aplicado el método de regresión lineal para la obtención de los valores del coeficiente de regresión ("b") de variación de la temperatura en función de la altura en cada una de las zonas. Los resultados obtenidos son considerados válidos y se comparan con los obtenidos al relacionar las temperaturas y alturas de las estaciones más baja y más alta en cada zona.
Se analiza los constrastes espaciales de las precipitaciones en la fachada sur y suroccidental de Sierra Nevada y su relación con la altitud, para lo que se aplica el análisis de regresión a fin de establecer el modelo de función que explique de forma satisfactoria las diferencias altitudionales de la precipitación.
Este artículo recoge las líneas de trabajo seguidas para la elaboración de una base de datos termopluviométricos a utilizar en la realización de una serie de mapas de isolíneas y diagramas integrantes del ATLAS DE ANDALUCIA mediante técnicas de cartografía automática. En él se exponen los métodos empleados en la depuración de los datos, el relleno de lagunas, así como la extrapolación de información para estaciones no existentes y que consideramos ineludible dada la gran cantidad de lagunas existentes en el territorio andaluz, y en especial en la zonas de montaña,lo que podía introducir errores considerables a la hora de la interpolación para el trazado de isolíneas.
