La discapacidad es una de las fuentes de discriminación más extendidas en la sociedad actual, reconocida con frecuencia por casi medio millón de personas en España, según cifras recientes. La discriminación, como hecho que se produce en la interacción entre personas, es percibida fundamentalmente en escenarios de la vida cotidiana. A partir de un planteamiento operativo de Exclusión Social propuesto por Laparra et al. (2007), y utilizando como fuente de datos principal la Encuesta Social Europea (2010), se presentan evidencias de discriminación de la población con discapacidad en España en los ejes económico, político-social y de relaciones sociales, en comparación con la población general.
Se presentan los resultados principales de un estudio de carácter fundamentalmente descriptivo sobre la situación actual de las personas con capacidad intelectual límite en 2015. Se centra en describir la realidad demográfica y social de las personas con capacidad intelectual límite, sus necesidades de apoyo y extraer propuestas estratégicas hacia una inclusión social efectiva. Metodológicamente, de acuerdo al nivel de análisis, se optó por técnicas cuantitativas (análisis de fuentes estadísticas) y cualitativas (entrevistas semiestructuradas a un grupo de personas con capacidad intelectual límite, familias y profesionales). Entre sus principales conclusiones, las personas con capacidad intelectual límite y sus familias demandan una visibilización de sus necesidades de apoyo para una inclusión social efectiva, siendo clave el apoyo para favorecer una vida autónoma e independiente. Las propuestas y buenas prácticas aportan elementos para un modelo de atención individualizada, al mismo tiempo fundamentada en una participación activa en la comunidad.

Esta normativa en los artículos del 23 al 31 avalaba la integración del alumnado con discapacidad en el sistema ordinario de educación general, con los apoyos necesarios que la propia Ley contemplaba. Tres años después, el Real Decreto 334/1985 de 6 de marzo, de ordenación de la educación especial, previó la escolarización de niños y niñas con discapacidad de manera preferente en centros ordinarios, contemplando como excepcional la escolarización en unidades o centros especiales. El despliegue de este Decreto supuso un claro punto de inflexión hacia la escolarización inclusiva.Posteriormente, la Ley 1/1990 Orgánica General del Sistema Educativo (LOGSE) admitiría la inclusión educativa de los niños y niñas con discapacidad como una forma de diversidad que la escuela debe atender, y hablaría por primera vez en la legislación del sistema de enseñanza de la figura del alumnado con necesidades educativas especiales (ACNEE). El Real Decreto 696/1995, de 28 de abril, de ordenación de la educación de los alumnos con necesidades educativas especiales, reguló las condiciones para la atención educativa a estos alumnos y las garantías para la calidad de la enseñanza. A partir de este Real Decreto, se inició el desarrollo legislativo de los sistemas de enseñanza en las Comunidades Autónomas que paulatinamente iban asumiendo las competencias en materia de educación (Toboso et al., 2012).La Convención Internacional sobre los Derechos de las Personas con Discapacidad (CDPD) firmada, ratificada y vigente por tanto en España desde 2008, establece en su artículo 24 que los Estados Partes reconocen el derecho de las personas con discapacidad a la educación. Las microagresiones, como expresión de discriminación dirigida hacia personas con discapacidad, son un fenómeno social que cuenta con escasa atención en nuestro entorno. El presente trabajo supone una aproximación cuantitativa hacia la expe-riencia de microagresiones capacitistas, atendiendo tanto a su frecuencia como a la diversidad de sus manifestaciones. Presentamos los resultados obtenidos, bajo método de encuesta (n = 681), atendiendo al grado de visibilidad de la discapaci-dad. Nuestros datos respaldan la implicación de dicho factor como determinante de la experiencia de microagresiones capacitistas. Las personas con discapacidades visibles presentan niveles significativamente más altos en cuanto a la frecuencia de microagresiones. Para las personas con discapacidades semi visibles o invisibles, las microagresiones más habituales están relacionadas con el cuestionamiento de las necesidades de apoyo o la minimización de la discapacidad. La interpretación desde un sesgo binario, que identifica al otro como normal o anormal, sustenta multitud de prácticas producidas por el sistema capacitista.
