The most widely used material as a house wall is red brick, which is relatively cheap and safe to weather compared to other materials. Red bricks are usually in the manufacturing process by traditional means and fabrication. In general red bricks require additional materials of rice husk in the process of making. Much of the "starchy" waste material widely found in Klaten that is not currently utilized, is expected to be used instead of rice husk which is one of the red brick material mixtures. This research will be conducted brick test with mechanical behavior test which includes density test, water absorption test and compressive strength test with red brick made from rice husk mixture as comparison with analysis result of mixture of starch onggok waste. The result of this research is compressive strength of brick with mixture of rice husk larger and has a small water absorption compared with compressive strength of brick with mixture of onggok.

Abstrack The road network which is the main means of land transportation becomes very significant,

because as we know the road is the lifeblood of the economy, while increasing economic

indispensable as supporting the development. The bridge is an integral part of the road network itself,

were also instrumental. Good roads are meaningless if the bridge - the bridge in these roads have not

been adequately according to their needs. Today the state of the road network in Indonesia is still

characterized by the presence of congestion - traffic jams, especially the area - an area that has

developed as in big cities. Terbaurnya role function arterial, collector and local, causing the level of

traffic density is also higher. As a result the road - the road is not functioning efficiently. One

alternative solution is to improve the facilities and capabilities of the road network, either by building

new roads, widening existing roads, improving road class and by increasing the ability of the bridge
