Masyarakat Timor Leste sampai saat ini masih mengeluhkan keberadaan bahasa Portugis sebagai bahasa Nasional. Keluhan tersebut terjadi di kalangan masyarakat umum ataupun di kalangan pendidikan. Rendahnya penggunaan bahasa Portugis di kalangan masyarakat menyebabkan pembelajaran bahasa Portugis memerlukan pemikiran yang serius. Pembelajaran bahasa Portugis belum dilaksanakan sesuai dengan harapan. Guru-guru bahasa Portugis menjalankan tugas mengajarnya tidak didasarkan pada kewenangan dan kompetensi akademik yang dipersyaratkan. Kurikulum pembelajaran belum sepenuhnya mengikuti kurikulum bahasa Portugis yang diadopsi dan diadaptasi dari Portugal. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, perlu ditemukan solusi yang mampu memberikan kebermanfaatan hasil belajar kepada para siswa Kata Kunci: solusi, pembelajaran bahasa, bahasa Portugis
The purpose of this study to discover the impact of Smartphone on human psychological well-being. This study is done from the perspective of Empirical Phenomenological Research, Qualitative. The method to collect the data is observation and inventory / an unstructured interview. The observation is done among Timorese universitarian in Malang. At the same time, had been done an interviewed on 15 subjects. The analysis the data is using descriptive through phenomenological, eidetic and transcendental reduction. The Result of the research shown that there are two impacts of the smartphone on universitarian such as positive negative. There are positive impacts because the utilization of smartphone is facilitating universitarian to reach psychological wellbeing. It became a smartphone been used to obtain well-being by communicating and chatting with family and friends. The further positive function is facilitating universitarian to develop their human resources/skill by studying. The negative impact was the frequencies of using the smartphone. Some universitarian used most of their time to play games (irritating-eyes). Some of them are using headset frequently it is trouble for hearing. Therefore universitarian needs to wisely use the smartphone.
This study aims to analyze the effect of using concrete teaching tools on physics learning outcomes on the subject of temperature and heat of senior high school students. All the students of grade 11 of the Natural Sciences program at ESG 1 Baucau became the population. The sample of this research was 66 students of grade 11 Trimester I Natural Sciences at the same school. Researchers used experimental methods, tests, observations, questionnaires, and documentation to collect data. The instrument organized by the researcher with a field-test to test validity and reliability. The Alpha Cronbach = 0.66 and KMO = 0.73 shown the instrument are valid and reliable to collect the data. Data analyzed with simple linear regression. The result shows that the correlation coefficient value (r) has 72.5%, which means positive and significant impacts. The tcount = 8.137 > ttable =1.997, significant = 0.005. Furthermore, the Y = 1,264 + 0.590 shows a significant impact because the leaning value increased to 0.590. Meanwhile, the R2 = 52.6%. These results proved that the use of concrete teaching tools determines the increase and decrease in the learning outcomes of students. This finding concluded that there was a significant impact of using the concrete teaching tools on physics learning outcomes on the subject of temperature and heat of the grade 11 of students majoring in Natural Sciences in Trimester I ESG 1 Baucau, East Timor. This finding recommended to all the Physics teachers who teach in senior high school and subsequent researchers.
The study outlined in this article aimed to describe the increasing the role of learning Portuguese for establishing the national character of Timor Leste. Portuguese language learning in Timor Leste needs to be developed seriously. The learning condition of the language still faces many problems, especially related to the material and the learning process. Therefore, the preparation of teaching materials that are truly functional and make it easier for students to learn the language needs to be developed. This needs to be done to make quality learning outcomes. Through quality Portuguese language learning, students will be able to gain understanding and appreciation of the language culture. Cultural insights will have an impact on the building of student character that is compatible with the culture of the nation of Timor Leste.
The aim of this research was to describe the history of Lesu-luli and to find the intrinsic elements in Lesu-luli's Poetry. This research was a phenomenological research that using the descriptive method. In this study, the primary data was the script of lesululi's poetry while the secondary data was the source text, such as literary theory books, the results of another literature research about poetry and culture, as well as the source from the internet. In this study, there were four informants. The data gathering from the informants was analyzed in three steps, namely data reduction and translating, data presentation and conclusion or verification. Based on the result of this study the history of "lesu-luli" is coming from the name of two grandfathers namely Mau Lesu and Lesu Tali. Mau Lesu came from uma Slelo while Lesu Tali came from uma Bere Ubu. Both of the grandfathers were a captain and a major. They had played the important role to struggle and liberate for the tradition of lesu luli. This struggle involved the eight households (that now become the eight of uma lisan or uma lulik) and also the kings. The kings were two peoples namely Talentuand Kornel. Talentu came from uma Bero Mau while Kornel came from uma Kali Ubu. Lesululi not only a sacred stone without meaning. Peoples in Meligo village made this place as a place where the people could ask the blessing of the ancestors and God. This was a culture and tradition that regularly conducted every year around September or October. Peoples in Meligo village believed that if the ceremony of lesululi was not celebrated, it would cause died, disaster, bad seeds, and drought (dry season). The intrinsic elements found in lesululi's poetry were: (1) Structure. In the structural analysis, the writer found two elements line and stanza. The types of the stanza in lesululi's poetry were a triplet, the quatrain, and the cinquain/quintet stanza. (2) Sound. The most type of sound found in lesululi's poetry was ended rhyme sound. (3) Figurative language or diction. The style of language or diction that found in lesululi's poetry was a formal language and the selection of words in this poem was very religious. Finally, the writer conclude that a culture must be protected because a culture is a foundation of human life.
