Kliniczne im. prof. K. Gibińskiego, Śląski Uniwersytet Medyczny w Katowicach streszczenie Alergiczne zapalenie spojówek, zwane również alergią oczną, jest powszechną immunologiczną chorobą nadwrażliwości dotykającą nawet 40% populacji. Ostatnio częstość występowania alergii ocznych wzrasta, a towarzyszące im objawy swędzenia, zaczerwienienia i obrzęku znacząco obniżają jakość życia pacjentów. W artykule autorzy przedstawiają opis przypadku pacjenta z izolowanym alergicznym zapaleniem spojówek z ujemnymi wynikami powszechnie stosowanych testów alergicznych oraz dodatkowych badań diagnostycznych. Kliniczne objawy alergicznego zapalenia spojówek z ujemnymi wynikami testów skórnych i swoistych alergenowo IgE sugerują rozważenie rozpoznania izolowanego alergicznego zapalenia spojówek. Izolowane alergiczne zapalenie spojówek jest wyzwaniem diagnostycznym i leczniczym zarówno dla lekarzy okulistów, jak i alergologów.słOwa kluczOwe izolowane alergiczne zapalenie spojówek, biopsja spojówki, eozynofil, mastocyt, ujemne testy alergiczne.abstract Allergic conjunctivitis, also known as an ocular allergy, is a common immune hypersensitivity disease that affects up to 40% of the population. Recently, the incidence of ocular allergies has increased, the symptoms of itching, redness and swelling significantly reduce patients' quality of life. In this article the authors present a case report of a patient with isolated allergic conjunctivitis with negative results of commonly used allergy tests and additional diagnostic possibilities in the allergic conjunctivitis. Clinical signs of allergic conjunctivitis with negative results of skin prick tests and normal concentration of allergen-specific IgE in serum suggest to consider the diagnosis of an isolated allergic conjunctivitis. Isolated allergic conjunctivitis is a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge, both for ophthalmologists and allergists.
