<p>A Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) é garantida como direito pela Constituição Federal do Brasil desde o ano de 1988, conquanto, as políticas públicas para essa modalidade de ensino ainda são insuficientes e a EJA assume um caráter de ensino compensatório e excludente. Neste artigo, objetiva-se discutir o perfil desses jovens e adultos, bem como a formação de educadores na área de língua inglesa para uma EJA que busque a garantia aos direitos políticos, sociais, culturais, de trabalho e de cidadania. A metodologia utilizada para este estudo foi a pesquisa bibliográfica, que buscou, junto aos professores e pesquisadores da EJA e formação de professores, fazer uma discussão do tema em questão. Conclui-se que, de forma dialógica, crítica e interculturalmente comunicativa, educadores e educandos devem construir juntos uma aprendizagem que possibilite o uso da língua inglesa em um contexto real de comunicação.</p>
Neste artigo discutimos o ensino de língua inglesa a partir da análise das representações familiares em três livros didáticos de inglês como língua adicional. Nesse sentido, analisamos quais tipos de famílias são retratadas no livro didático e se essas representações compreendem as diferentes organizações familiares da sociedade atual. Para embasar nossa pesquisa, nosso aporte teórico contou com as contribuições de autores como Anjos (2019; 2020), Candau (2011), Freire (2004), hooks (2013), Siqueira (2012; 2015), Pennycook (1994; 2001), Rios; Nuñez; Fernandes (2016), et alia. A partir de uma pesquisa bibliográfica de abordagem qualitativa, concluímos que a representação de família trazida pelos livros didáticos direcionam os alunos, desde cedo, para o reconhecimento de apenas alguns modelos familiares, estabelecendo estereótipos e preconceitos que tendem a ser reforçados vida afora. Os LD analisados privilegiam um modelo tradicional de família, com pessoas de cor branca e heterossexuais, que não se adequam à diversidade de arranjos familiares possíveis nos dias atuais. É preciso naturalizar nos LD todas as formas de representação familiar de maneira que todos os alunos se reconheçam nelas e aprendam a respeitar aquelas que não correspondem a sua experiência pessoal.
A língua é um poderoso meio de expressar emoções, sentimentos e ideias, seu aprendizado tem por objetivo possibilitar a comunicação e aproximar pessoas. Assim, pela sua posição como língua internacional, a língua inglesa tem um importante papel na formação do indivíduo. O presente artigo discute o ensino de inglês como língua adicional na Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA). Neste sentido, buscamos refletir o perfil dos sujeitos-alunos dessa modalidade de ensino, a aprendizagem de alunos rurais e urbanos no mesmo espaço de aprendizagem, bem como o não-lugar desses sujeitos nos espaços formais de ensino. Para atingir o objetivo pretendido, a abordagem metodológica escolhida para esta investigação foi a qualitativa e os métodos de coleta de dados foram a pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. Concluímos que a aprendizagem de inglês não pode ser algo inalcançável, esse aprendizado precisa ser efetivo e com propósito, pautado na busca de conhecimentos de ordem prática, para que se construa conhecimentos que contribuam de maneira efetiva com o desenvolvimento e melhoria social, político e econômico dos sujeitos.
Neste artigo, propomos fazer uma discussão sobre o livro didático de inglês para a Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA). Neste sentido, analisamos uma unidade didática de um livro de inglês para esta modalidade de ensino e questionamos se este recurso didático atende às necessidades e especificidades das pessoas da EJA, bem como a sua contribuição para uma aprendizagem crítica de inglês. A abordagem metodológica escolhida para esta investigação foi a qualitativa e os métodos de coleta de dados foram a pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. Concluímos que o desenvolvimento de material didático para a EJA precisa considerar as questões específicas que envolvem essa modalidade de ensino de forma a contribuir com uma aprendizagem significativa.
