Family is the first place a child gets education. Instilling character in children is not only the responsibility of the teacher which is obtained through formal education, but parents as real caregivers will have a greater responsibility in building character. Various controversies are faced by parents of students in playing the role of teacher, especially in educating children to grow to have good character. The purpose of this service is to socialize the importance of the role of parents in children's character education. The approach method used is individual and group. In the discussion that was going on, a number of complaints from participants who were also educators at home during Covid-19, of course, got good solutions through exposure to material and previous research, as well as discussions and questions and answers. Through the results of this service it is concluded that the character education that must be fostered in the family environment is (1) Religious character values, (2) Discipline character values, (3) Creative character values, (4) Independent character values, (5) Responsibility character values, and (6) Curiosity character value. These character values ??must be developed in order to bring big changes. The success or failure of the development of character values ??in children is highly dependent on the cooperation between teachers and parents as role models for children. This study aimed to determine the effect of the implementation of blended learning to improve the learning outcomes of primary school students. The method used is quasi-experimental method with quantitative approach. The research design used was "Pretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group Design." This design uses two classes consisting of experimental and control class. The research was conducted on fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Lambheu, District of Aceh Besar. The research sample amounted to 60 students. Data collection techniques in this study by giving pretest and posttest questions in both classes. The questions used are ten questions in form of multiple choice. The data analysis technique uses student learning outcomes data with normality and homogeneity testing; then, the hypothesis is tested using t-test. Based on testing, the value of student learning outcomes is normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of the t-test of posttest values were obtained by Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.00 < 0.05 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The hypothesis test concludes that there is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of the experimental and the control class students. As conclusion is that implementing blended learning to improve student learning outcomes of Primary SchoolKeywords : Blended Learning, Learning Outcomes, Primary School.
This study aims to describe the increased understanding of science concepts by implementing contextual-based Problem Based Learning models on material changes in the shape of objects. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with one group pretest and posttest. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all fifth-grade students at SDN Mutiara, totaling 60 students. The sampling technique was random sampling, so the sample in the study was 30 students in class V-A consisting of 18 female students and 12 male students. Data collection techniques in this study used observation sheets and test items. Data analysis techniques to measure the implementation of the character-based PBL model are carried out operating percentages, and to analyze the understanding of the science concept is carried out using gain. The results showed that the implementation of the character-based PBL model was 82% which was categorized as good. In addition, the results of the analysis of the understanding of the science concept show a gain of 0.6 which is categorized as moderate. So it can be concluded that implementing the character-based PBL model properly it can improve students' understanding of science concepts in class V on the material changes in the shape of objects.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
