In spite of the fact that mental health problems are increasingly prevalent among college students, they are often disinclination to seek help from formal psychological services. There is a lack of empirical studies focusing specifically on college students’ barriers to seeking psychological help in Indonesia. This study aims to identify the factors that prevent college students from seeking psychological help at formal psychology service providers. Participants in this study were 205 college students who were obtained using purposive sampling techniques. College students are given a Willingness to Seek Professional Counseling scale at Outside the University (WSPCO) to identify factors that prevent them from seeking psychological help. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of this study showed that there were three main factors that make students reluctant to seek psychological help from providers such as the students who do not know which counseling services are good, students have family or friends who can help, and students feel that the problem is still not serious. By knowing these barriers, formal psychological services need to add information about the services, especially the place, forms of services, and professional that capable of mental health problems to meet the public’s understanding of formal psychological services. Gresik Regency has been trying to implement a green open space policy in the form of a child-friendly park. It is very substantial for Gresik Regency to have a park that can be both as outdoor space for children and also air pollution filter. This study aims to identify the relationship between perceptions of the quality and utilization of green open space with child psychological well-being. Data was collected using Perception of the Quality and Utilization of Green Open Space scale and Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire that obtained from parent’s assessment. The results suggested that there was a relationship between the perception of the quality and utilization of green open space with the child’s psychological well-being in the dimension of strength, specifically in developing prosocial behavior. However, there was no relationship in the dimension of difficulties. The results also obtained that the perception of the quality and utilization of green space in Gresik was good. Even so, the community still perceived the lack of park safety factors. They also infrequently visit the park. These results can be used as an evaluation for the Local Regional Government to improve the safety and comfort factor of the park.
This research aims to describe the Intolerance of uncertainty (IU) among Indonesian workers during COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 351 workers in Java (64 males, 287 females) were involved as a participant. IU was measured using the Indonesian version of IUS-27. This study showed that most (41.9%) of the participants had a low level of IU; meanwhile, 36.8% of the participant had a high level of IU. The result of the difference test showed that there was a difference in IU between males and females (p=0.011) and between participants in the upper, middle, and lower SES (p=0.018). These findings show that females and people with low SES had a higher IU than other groups. These findings can be used as a reference by companies to identify and take preventive action toward workers who possessed a higher risk of developing a higher IU, especially in a situation full of uncertainty.
