ResumenEn el presente artículo de investigación se analizan los diferentes factores sociales, económicos y legales que favorecen o limitan la transición energética colombiana hacia una composición de una matriz energética que combine exitosamente la explotación racional de los hidrocarburos con la introducción de fuentes renovables no convencionales como la biomasa y otras formas de energía, contempladas en el marco de la Ley 1715 de 2014. Mediante una metodología cualitativa se presenta un estado actual de la explotación de los hidrocarburos y las reservas probadas como elemento importante para evidenciar la necesidad de comenzar una transición energética y se analizan las diferentes componentes del ordenamiento jurídico que pueden impulsar o frenar dicha transición.
