En ésta investigación, se empleó la metodología de dinámica de sistemas (Forrester, 1961), la cual fue idónea para determinar las relaciones causales que presentan los clústeres industriales como estructuras complejas. Estableciendo los factores que intervienen en la competitividad de una región para el desarrollo de éstos; factores basados en el dinamismo que presenta el diamante de Porter (1990) y los contextos: macroeconómico, político-legal y social. Por lo tanto, el diseño del estudio es de corte cualitativo, debido a la naturaleza de la metodología. En consecuencia, el resultado obtenido es un modelo causal, que presenta las relaciones formales de las variables que intervienen en la competitividad de una región para el desarrollo de un clúster industrial.
En este artículo, a través del enfoque de Economía de Mercado Jerárquica (EMJ), se hace unanálisis contextual y descriptivo sobre dos de las cinco esferas que conforman está noción de Variedades de Capitalismo (VoC). Buscando determinar cómo esas esferas de relaciones laborales y capacitación y educación se complementan negativamente, intensificando la desigualdad económica que genera ingresos dispares y menores oportunidades de crecimiento intelectual para la población. Obteniendo como hallazgo que, este modelo de capitalismo favorece esquemas de excesiva flexibilidad laboral que se puede constatar con el bajo índice de salario mínimo, la falta de protección al empleo y la baja capacitación que reciben los trabajadores en México.
La infraestructura es uno de los principales detonantes base del desarrollo económico de un país o región que requieren ser creados a través de diversos mecanismos de gran inversión. (Moljevic, 2016; Anderson y Anderson, 2016; Porter, 2000; Demurger 2001; Röller y Waverman 2001). Generar una estrategia para el desarrollo de infraestructura que impulse la competitividad, es una tarea compleja; ya que los resultados son a largo plazo. Por lo tanto, esta investigación empleó la metodología de dinámica de sistemas (Forrester 1961; Sterman 2000), bajo un enfoque cualitativo con base al análisis de datos de los indicadores del Índice de Competitividad Global. Además, se presenta el desarrollo de un modelo de simulación dinámico, que apoya a los tomadores de decisiones a probar bajo diferentes escenarios la efectividad de políticas estratégicas referentes al impacto de la infraestructura en el desarrollo de una región para impulsar su competitividad.
