В статье обоснована объективность миграционных процессов в мировом масштабе, рассмотрены тенденции их развития. Изучены применяемые в развитых странах особые подходы по вопросам регулирования миграции в современных условиях. Аргументированы последствия рыночных реформ на региональном рынке труда в отечественной экономике, а также проанализированы предложение и спрос на трудовые ресурсы на региональном рынке труда и выявлены проблемы, в частности – низкие доходы и недостаточно высокая квалификация работников, негативно влияющие на развитие рынка труда в регионах Республики Таджикистан, в том числе в Согдийской области. Авторами был рассчитан коэффициент миграционной компенсации для районов Согдийской области Республики Таджикистан. Охарактеризована роль внешней миграции в развитии экономики региона и сформулированы выводы об общих тенденциях воздействия внешней миграции на развитие регионального рынка труда на примере Согдийской области Республики Таджикистан. Интерпретация данных позволила сформулировать авторам следующие выводы: трудовая миграция практически во всех районах Согдийской области превышает естественный прирост населения. При этом тенденция к ее росту еще сохраняется: в частности, в г. Истиклол она приняла такие масштабы, что возникает угроза полного оттока населения и опустошения района. Подобное положение объясняется тем, что найти приемлемые рабочие места в данном районе крайне сложно, его жителям проще отправиться на заработки за пределы страны. Относительно стабильный рост населения демонстрирует только Горноматчинский район, где уровень трудовой миграции гораздо меньше естественного прироста населения.
