The advancement in the national policy with regard to Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) in education has been updated by the demand for consistent and corresponding implementation of national policy on ICT for tertiary education in Nigeria. The policy identified the criticality of ICTs in the fulfillment of the national technology aspirations in the perspective of attaining sustainable development goals. The current research surveyed the level of ICT deployment in Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic in relation to core ICT policy implementation framework and provided justification for the adoption of top ICT infrastructure in the digital-centric academic environment. The survey adopted quantitative research methodology to obtain information from four hundred and twenty respondents randomly selected from four units in the institution. The result of the research indicated that ICTs implementation within the educational management is fundamental to students’ academic accomplishment, job satisfaction, productivity, and globalization, becoming unmistakably obligatory for governments, teachers, and management of institutions in the contemporary time to prioritize ICTs and incorporate electronic changes for opportunities in the digital age.
INTRODUCTION: The relevance of multimedia electronic learning(e-learning) education in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in the developing nations are justifiable on the pedagogical connections between the twenty first century digital automation and education itself. Multimedia is a creative combination of computer hardware , software and lifeware that allows for integration of video, animation, audio, graphical information and text resources in an interactive engagement , in which information are accessed interactively with any information processing devices. OBJECTIVES: To enable personalizable and autonomous learning accomplishments when multimedia educational tools are merged , which allows for diversity in curriculum presentation. METHODS: The current research investigated 400 postgraduate students of faculty of computer science and information technology who adopted the multimedia e-learning education approach to ensure that the expected date of graduation was not extended during the recent institution lock . RESULTS :The research observed that out of six multimedia e-learning education tools used, e-mail functionalities, chat apps, audio/video computing application and discussion forum were mostly used to provide meaningful interactive engagement while blogs and webcast were less utilized. CONCLUSION: The research proposed an enhanced level electronic participation, electronic readiness and e-learning education framework that matched the standards for the smartest educational reform that will enable regular and consistent educational accomplishment without disruptions of academic workflow in the global educational business ,notwithstanding the severity of any future pandemic similar to ongoing COVID-19.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, many institutions immediately adapted multimedia electronic learning technologies, to provide enablement of electronic learning system, shifting from in-person classroom attendance to online synchronous and asynchronous transmissions. In the current paper, the goal of multimedia electronic learning system is reviewed through the combination of various pedagogical media tools that enabled wide range of curricula presentation. This study has considered four hundred postgraduate scholars from the faculty of computer science and information technology that adopted multimedia electronic learning systems to guarantee that the scheduled graduation date was not surpassed on the account of the institution lockdown. In this paper, the integrated system of creating personalized and self-directed learning through multimedia pedagogical methodology has been highlighted. The study sought to draw attention to the importance of creating an immersive and interactive learning environment using AI-mediated innovation, which provide students with the increased skills required to become cognizant and reflective digital natives. The paper has portrayed that an increased level of electronic engagement via interactive media tools, link to the requirements for the innovative educational transformation which demand an execution of educational curriculum. The educational goals and needs are first defined, and then the most effective learning environment for students has been designed.
